About the adventure

Across the shimmering rivers and beneath the emerald canopy, the Grik’Nakh goblinoids thrived. Their lives were a vibrant tapestry woven with the jungle’s bounty. Music, a symphony of flutes carved from river reeds and drums fashioned from hollowed gourds, echoed through the sun-dappled glades. Art adorned every dwelling – intricate carvings on ancient trees, vibrant pigments painted on animal hides, and golden beads woven into ceremonial headdresses. They were not savage, but stewards; their hands, calloused from careful cultivation, ensured the jungle’s health. Capybaras, tamed and cherished, grazed peacefully, while exotic birds nested in communal tree-homes connected by swaying rope bridges. Trade flourished, a peaceful exchange of iridescent shells, gleaming gold beads, vibrant feathers, and potent pigments, carried on dugout canoes along crystal-clear waterways, connecting scattered villages in a network of mutual respect. Tribal disputes were rare, quickly resolved, and never threatened the deep-seated peace of their verdant world. But now, a shadow falls upon the sun-kissed waters. The "Fair Races" have arrived. Their axes bite deep into ancient trees, silencing the songs of the jungle with the crack of falling giants. Their insatiable hunger for game leaves forests barren, a quiet that chills the Grik’Nakh to their bones. And worse, their "exploration" has turned to slaughter, leaving trails of blood where vibrant life once danced. The Grik’Nakh, once masters of their gentle domain, now see their sacred lands defiled, their people hunted, their way of life teetering on the brink of annihilation. The drumbeats that once celebrated life now call for war. The flutes lament their fallen, but also stir the spirit of resistance. You are a Grik’Nakh, an indigenous goblinoid. Will you stand by as your culture crumbles to dust? Will you watch your ancient trees fall, your rivers turn murky, and your people become prey? Or will you rise, with spear and courage, to defend your home, your honor, and the very soul of the jungle? Join us, and etch your legend into the history of the Grik’Nakh, before it's too late. The fight for survival has begun.

About me

"The Forever DM" After hearing that enough times, I started feeling bad for my DMs. Rightfully so, a lot of work goes into Dungeon Mastering and I thought "There is no way they are having fun not getting to play". I made it a goal that I would try and learn how to DM to repay the very DMs that allowed me to play at their tables for so long. Months of reading manuals and I had a vague understanding of what goes on, on the other side of the screen. Needless to say, I worked up the courage and finally asked them all to join. I was terrified of making a mistake with the judging eyes of my mentors surrounding me. The game began and within minutes I was a fish in water. I found out that for me GM'ing is just as much fun as playing and I have been doing it ever since. Around this same time I had a spinal issue and became bed ridden. I started losing my mind after I watched everything on Netflix multiple times. I learned I could still play D&D digitally. I had the Dndbeyond app to roll dice and the gm or a player would move my character on the screen. I can't tell you how much escaping into these fantasy worlds saved my sanity. I now had a glimmer of hope and I dove all in trying to master the game. Humbly, I do not think you can master the game, but I payed my dues to be called a Dungeon Master. Now, I offer you the expertise of a man who could do nothing else for years. Please join us at the table and imagine.
