About the adventure
💥BEGINNERS WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED!💥 Welcome to Dungeons & Dragons at its finest: adventure, danger, and camaraderie. You’ll explore haunted ruins, clash with cunning foes, uncover buried secrets, and watch your choices shape the fate of a frontier in flux. Whether you’re brand new to the game or a seasoned veteran, this story welcomes you with open arms and sharp teeth. If you crave roleplay-heavy cinematic storytelling, grounded emotion, and a dash of dark humor between sword swings, this table is for you. We will be playing through Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk, starting with the legendary and iconic starting adventure: The Lost Mine of Phandelver. The roads are rough, the ale’s cheap, and every smiling face in Phandalin hides a secret. What begins as a simple delivery job quickly spirals into a fight for gold, glory, and survival. Beneath the rolling hills of the Sword Coast lies a power long forgotten. Bandits, monsters, and mercenaries claw for a piece of it, and the town of Phandalin stands on the edge of chaos. Will you carve your name into legend or be swallowed by the wilds that birthed it?

About me
I’ve always been a storyteller. As a screenwriter, nerd, and voice actor, I live for the moments that make people lean forward in their seats. The twists that steal your breath, the choices that test your resolve, and the characters that feel like old friends (or enemies you’ll never forget). That’s the energy I bring behind the DM screen. I’ve been crafting worlds and running games for 6+ years. From gritty Wild West tales of penitent outlaws to high-fantasy sagas where gods walk the earth. My players know me for pushing them beyond dice rolls into stories that feel cinematic, immersive, and deeply human. When I DM, I’m not just reading a module; I’m directing an experience. I’m not afraid of darkness in my worlds, but I balance it with humor, heart, and hope. I know when to let the table laugh until their sides hurt, and when to drop the kind of scene that leaves silence hanging in the air. My passion is making every session feel like a film you can step inside... where you are the hero, the villain, and everything in between. If you want a DM who will treat your character like the protagonist of a story worth telling, who will honor your choices, surprise you at every turn, and leave you with sessions you’ll remember long after the dice stop rolling, then I’d love to run a game for you!

What DM Anthony brings to the table
I provide D&D Beyond content for character creation, AboveVTT for maps and visuals, and Discord for voice and video chat. I am a working, professional Voice Actor, so I love using character voices. I use KenkuFM for immersive music and ambience. I generally follow rules as written, but I do mix in some 2014 rulings, and I am open to justified Rule of Cool that enhances the game.
Homebrew rules
2014 Surprise rules instead of 2024. Critical Fumbles: In combat, when a Nat 1 is rolled, you score a critical fumble. Roll a die and watch chaos unfold! Improved Intelligence: Any positive modifier in Intelligence grants you a language or a non-skill proficiency, such as a tool proficiency or vehicle proficiency. In order to gain an armor or weapon proficiency, you must have the strength or dex required to wield the weapon first.

How DM Anthony creates a safe table
Before we play, I'll make sure everybody privately sends me their lines and veils. We'll have a session 0 where we set these boundaries and openly discuss content warnings and expectations. If at any point in the session, if a player is feeling uncomfortable, they can send me an 'X' and the scene will immediately come to an end. Afterwards, I will privately check in with said player and discuss where and what boundaries were crossed to prevent it from happening again. My table is meant to be a welcoming and inclusive space for all players. Any form of sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, or other discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated. Everyone at the table deserves respect, both in and out of character.
