About the adventure
In a realm where the horizon stretched endlessly, a solitary figure stood, their gaze fixed upon a distant, shimmering light. For months they had witnessed its ethereal glow, a beacon in the vast expanse. Yet, they remained the sole witness to this celestial marvel; no one else could perceive its presence. Driven by an irresistible pull, the character embarked on a solitary journey, leaving behind the familiarity of their homeland. With every step, their heart pounded with a mixture of anticipation and trepidation. Each day introducing a tapestry of new people, places, and landmarks along the way. 1. Describe your character's homeland in detail. - Include the landscape, climate, people, culture, and history of the region. 2. Detail your character's journey to The Light. - Describe the route they took, the challenges they faced, and the people they met along the way. 3. List the people, places, cities, and landmarks encountered along the way. - Be as specific as possible and provide a brief description of each. 4. Include anything you would want in a game in this expeditionary journal. - This could include weapons, armor, deities, monsters, or other game elements. This is your chance to add almost any element to the game. 5. Remember that the known world map will be created from the combined journeys of all the players. - Make sure your journal is detailed and informative so that the world can be as rich and vibrant as possible. This is the beginning of a long term campaign please only apply if that interests you. I will be putting a lot of work into this and would appreciate committed players.

About me
"The Forever DM" After hearing that enough times, I started feeling bad for my DMs. Rightfully so, a lot of work goes into Dungeon Mastering and I thought "There is no way they are having fun not getting to play". I made it a goal that I would try and learn how to DM to repay the very DMs that allowed me to play at their tables for so long. Months of reading manuals and I had a vague understanding of what goes on, on the other side of the screen. Needless to say, I worked up the courage and finally asked them all to join. I was terrified of making a mistake with the judging eyes of my mentors surrounding me. The game began and within minutes I was a fish in water. I found out that for me GM'ing is just as much fun as playing and I have been doing it ever since. Around this same time I had a spinal issue and became bed ridden. I started losing my mind after I watched everything on Netflix multiple times. I learned I could still play D&D digitally. I had the Dndbeyond app to roll dice and the gm or a player would move my character on the screen. I can't tell you how much escaping into these fantasy worlds saved my sanity. I now had a glimmer of hope and I dove all in trying to master the game. Humbly, I do not think you can master the game, but I payed my dues to be called a Dungeon Master. Now, I offer you the expertise of a man who could do nothing else for years. Please join us at the table and imagine.

Creating your character
This will be explained further in detail once you join the discord. I can say that standard races and classes are all fine. I will work with you to make a Custom Background. Ability points are using a custom standard array (17,15,13,12,12,7). However, if you die you will roll publicly.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Google Chrome, Discord, As well as DNDBeyond. Most importantly, you will need your journal finished. Oh and a microphone and quiet place to play.
