About the adventure

The year is 5136, and Earth has become a desolate wasteland. Terraforming and colonization have transformed Mars into the heart of the galaxy. Megacorporations, operating like clans, dominate the galaxy, and faster-than-light travel is a thing of the past. Your mission is to seize your big break and escape the grip of the Mega Corps, who monopolize nearly everything. As a Lancer, you and your Lance mates represent the peak of power in the galaxy, piloting machines capable of leveling entire cities and defense forces. But you're not alone in your pursuit—there are thousands of human-inhabited star systems scattered across the Galactic Union, each filled with others chasing their own shot at freedom. Current Enemy Mercenary Units: The Firebrands of Calcia (FoC) are a breakaway faction from SSC’s corporate holdings on the planetoid Calcia Major, once a lush and vibrant world before SSC’s Ziricnium mining stripped it bare. This rare mineral, vital for FTL engine construction, brought devastation to the planet’s environment. A local militia rose up, targeting and seizing key sites, and even turning SSC’s own equipment against them through effective guerrilla tactics, eventually driving the corporation off-world. After their economy collapsed due to a trade embargo imposed by SSC and other Union suppliers, the FoC reinvented themselves as a mercenary force, renowned for their highly skilled veteran pilots and vehicle crews. They operate an impressively varied arsenal, from airframes to surface ships, including patrol boats and the Ares-class guided missile frigate. The Black Lotus Group (BLG) is a band of ruthless, power-hungry pilots willing to do whatever it takes to ensure their empire thrives in any situation. They field all kinds of units, likely thanks to access to one or more hacked industrial printers. Many of their pilots and vehicle crews could be considered mercenaries, while others are outright criminals. Engaging them in combat is risky, as they often use Core Worm Rockets to kill the pilot and then salvage the wrecked mech. This method of eliminating the pilot and repurposing the mech and either selling it on the black market or using it off the books has brought them the reputation of nothing more than Interstellar Gangsters. Hands of Light (HoL) are made up of ex-Harrison armory and ex-Union pilots retaining their gear in any known way and using it to bring about the downfall of either or both depending on the current pilot you are talking to, they are known to field heavy black-market weaponry and have a flagrant disregard for life. They follow a single "Prophet" they have been known to call "Nihlek" or "The Great Old One" and follow his orders blindly. These Pilots are to be approached with caution and are known to use themselves as human weapons detonating their mechs with self-destruct abilities taking their enemies with them when cornered. These and Many more are to be encountered along the way!

About me

I’m a disabled Veteran with plenty of free time to dedicate to making my campaigns fun and enjoyable. I’ve been playing since I was 13 and am now 50, with experience as both player and DM across systems from 1st edition D&D to 5th, plus most of White Wolf’s catalog and many out-of-print games. I focus on homemade campaigns with a few house rules, fueled by my love for all things fantastical and creative. Intricate backstories and great roleplay are my favorites, and I happily welcome new players, creating a pleasant environment to learn. If you’re looking for an open-minded DM ready to craft a fun, laughter-filled campaign for everyone, I’m your person.
