About the adventure
A beginner friendly game set in the well-known area of the Forgotten Realms, known as the Sword Coast. Help the friendly people of Phandalin and the surrounding area as they deal with the fallout of a young dragon staking its claim to the area. Dive into dungeons, help townsfolk in need, uncover secrets lost to time, and stop a dragon from terrorizing the countyside! Are your characters the heroes that Phanadlin needs? Well...maybe not, but beggars can't be choosers. The people of Phandalin will take all the help they can get at this point. Help the villagers and the folks in the surrounding countryside. Who knows what you might come across.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I'm a mother and a gamer. I've been a GM consistently for the past year, and have been playing various TTRPG's on and off for the past decade. My experience is primarily D&D5e, but I'm looking to branch out into other systems. Willing to run live sessions and play-by-post on Discord. I am very beginner friendly, open to advice, and always looking to improve.

Creating your character
This game will have a free session 0, where we can discuss character creation. characters will be created on D&D Beyond, and the link to the Campaign will be shared in Session 0.
The Party currently consists of a Dragonborn Infernal Barbarian, a Human Circle of the Moon Druid, and an Elf Ranger/Hunter. The party is currently all Lvl 3, so new players would be starting with their characters at 3rd lvl to ensure balanced combat and skills.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have accounts on Discord and D&D Beyond for this game. You DO NOT need to have a paid subscription for D&D Beyond or Nitro for Discord (unless you need the character slots on D&D beyond). Necessary source material on D&D Beyond for creating your character will be shared by the GM, and accessible once the campaign link is provided.
What Firestar brings to the table
I am willing to provide artwork for characters that would like it, and have been known to homebrew special items. I try to do character voices (though they're not always good), and sometimes pop culture references will pop up for the entertainment of the players. I embrace the Rule of Cool, and have been known to reward players for creative ideas.
Homebrew rules
Drinking a healing potion or casting a healing cantrip is a bonus action. If the party decides they would like to up the difficulty a bit, the Dungeon Food rule can be used (rations cannot be bought, all characters start with 1 day's rations, all food is procure-on-site, 1 character chosen by vote gets the chef feat for free).

How Firestar creates a safe table
In session 0 we'll talk about a general rating for the game based on player ages. X cards can be messaged directly to the GM. I have an open door policy with my games, I am a safe space and will listen without judgement.
