About the adventure
With "West Marches Adventuring Guild" you will join a group of fearless explorers as they traverse the dangerous lands beyond their home city! Each week the party will decide where the adventure goes... Do you want to march recklessly into the unknown, fighting monsters along the way, or follow leads to piece together the mysteries of a recently uncovered dungeon? With this campaign the power is in the hands of the players! Get ready to explore ancient ruins, navigate the high seas, and battle corrupt monstrosities across the land! This campaign is for 7+ players, and will go from level 1 to 14 (with an option to go even further). As a "West Marches" style game, you'll be part of a larger pool of players and a max of 7 will participate in each game. It's a drop-in style story, where every adventure YOU decide what quest from the board you'd like to tackle! No prior experience necessary - I'm happy to help beginners and challenge veterans of the game! About me
My name is Kelly (they/them) and I have been playing TTRPGs for over 10 years. I've GMed for a wide range of systems, including D&D, Powered By The Apocalypse, Vampire: The Masquerade, and more! Right now I am the Storyteller for Tabletop Tiddies (Tiddies By Night). I have sat at the table with some of the big names of the industry, including Matthew Mercer, B. Dave Walters, Erika Ishii, and Noura Ibrahim. My style is very malleable, adjusting to the wants of the players. I run a safe table that prioritizes consent and inclusion, and my games are always LGBT+ friendly. My favorite themes vary wildly, I love Horror, High Fantasy, Sci-fi, Modern, and Survival. I enjoy heavy RP focused games, but won't shy away from a good fight. I've run multi-stage epic level fights, as well as personal 1v1 duels on church roofs. I use Roll20 for maps, tokens, and audio (all ambiance, so you can mute if you have auditory concerns), and the players can use whatever they prefer for their sheets. I also have all of D&D Beyond unlocked for your use! We'll play over Zoom or Discord.

Creating your character
- Players will need to join the D&D Beyond Campaign that will be sent to you on Discord, it will have all D&D Beyond books unlocked. - Characters will need to be level 1, using Point-Buy or Standard Array. - You are welcome to use a provided pre-gen character if you wish. - Our first session will be a session zero, you should come with your sheet ready but I am happy to help flesh things out and explain things as needed!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: - A steady internet connection. - A free Discord Account. - A free Roll20 Account. - A free D&D Beyond Account (https://www.dndbeyond.com/create-account). - A microphone. - A webcam (optional). - Players will need to join the D&D Beyond Campaign (link provided once signed up), create their character, and fill out the Lines and Veils sheet before the first session. - Optional: some way to take notes (pen and paper, google doc, etc)
What Kelly Wright brings to the table
- All D&D Beyond books will be unlocked for you. - Ambient music will be used to help transport everyone into the setting! - Rule of Cool will be embraced! The GM will go over expectations with everyone during the session zero about how we want to balance roleplay/combat/exploration during the game. - Everyone will get their Hero Forge made into a digital token for their character on Roll20. - High quality battle maps and scenic art will be used on Roll20 to increase immersion.
Homebrew rules
Nat 1s and Nat20s are always critical! Familiars will have the same initiative as you. Anyone can use a magic scroll! For magic scroll usage it will be an Arcana Check, the Arcana DC will be 10 + spell level.

How Kelly Wright creates a safe table
- A lines and veils consent form will be sent out in advance along with the D&D Beyond Campaign Link and Roll20 Link. Please fill it out to the best of your ability before our session, and we can go over it during the session. - The Content Warnings listed are a guideline, all content will be adjusted to the comfort of all players! - We will have a full session zero featuring introductions, safety tool explanation, and expectations for the game. - A 15 minute break will happen at the halfway mark of every session. - If at any time during the session you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, you can type X in chat, say X out loud, or make an X on camera and I will stop the scene and address the problem. - At the end of the session we will do "Stars and Wishes" where everyone who would like to can share their favorite parts of the game and what they'd like to have more of in the next session.
