About the adventure
A forgotten hole in the forest floor. A tangle of roots. A whisper of gold beneath the earth. The locals say a twisted oak collapsed during a storm, opening a sinkhole near the riverbank. Strange lights have been seen at night. Something down there breathes. The Hole in the Oak is a classic dungeon crawl for 1st-level characters, designed for Old-School Essentials. You'll descend into a weird and whimsical underworld full of talking beasts, ancient magic, and secrets buried deep in the roots of the world. Nothing down there plays fair—and that’s half the fun. This is an old-school style game focused on creative problem-solving, player agency, exploration, and consequences. Combat is deadly, treasure matters, and clever thinking trumps stat sheets. You don’t need experience with OSE or classic-style play—I’ll teach as we go. Just bring your curiosity and caution. Great for new and returning players who love strange dungeons, fae folklore, and the thrill of poking ancient things that definitely don’t want to be poked.

Players can quickly generate their characters or select from the pregenerated ones. Will be using Advanced Fantasy option, for separation between race and class, and add more variety.

Preparing for the session
👉 The game will be played on Foundry Virtual Tabletop. Game will be hosted on cloud service, you don't need anything just the link I will provide you to join and Voice Comms will be on Discord. 🛑 WHAT YOU NEED: ✔️ Computer and Internet required. High speed internet will make for a more enjoyable experience. ✔️ Mic and headphones required (speakers cause echo). Clear no background noise. ✔️ Free Discord Account. Install Discord app on computer. Join Leovor's Keep server (link given to your Player Dashboard after you join the game).
