About Jotty Parker

Ever since my wife introduced me to DnD 5e, I've been pretty obsessed. I've started looking into other systems as well because they seem so fun, specifically Call of Cthulhu and Mistborn. I started DM-ing when other players weren't able to and I've gotten my courage up more and more. I consider myself open-minded and adaptable, which helps a lot because my goal is for all the players to have fun! When the players defeat the dragon, they get excited, and that makes me feel like I helped them reach their goal.

I love to see the look on players' faces when they succeed at their quest. I enjoy when my players enjoy the game. I feel good when the players feel good about their decisions. I feel victorious when the players achieve victory through their ingenuity.

How Jotty Parker runs games

I love roleplaying and getting into character. I can do a ton of different voices so prepare for weirdness! I welcome ingenuity and out-of-the-box thinking (especially in combat) because while you can never be too prepared, you can also never predict what direction your players will go.

where my players fooled a whole cave of goblins into joining into a pyramid scheme selling quarter staffs. It was one of the funniest and smartest things I've seen in a ttrpg and I welcome that sort of thinking in every session of my campaigns!

I think it's a red flag when players...

try to start arguments with other players. There are a lot of times when some serious conversations can happen in character, but there are some times when I've seen a player take it too seriously and get too heated. We're here to play a game, regardless of any beliefs we may share, keep it that way.
