Feel free to drop in and play whenever you like, take time off, and rejoin when you like. We will adjust your level accordingly, so no stress at all. This will be a casual game, but still full of roleplay, combat, adventure and treasure. Where does this take place? It starts in a tavern! There are many taverns in the City of Senzula, and they all have adventures ready to be plucked. How do I make a character? Show up a little before the game, and we will know what level you need to be and help you create you character then and there. If you want your character to have a backstory, I will absolutely try to work it in. Please bring it to my attention! What system are you using? I'm running this in D&D 2024.

The DM is extremely competent and can improvise on the fly if the players go off the rails. There was an unplanned combat, and the DM just rolled with it because it made plot-based sense.

Character creation
Creating your character
Drop in a little before the game starts to make a character of the appropriate level. Any legal species and class are fine, you can use any legal books. If you want to play something a little more unusual, just check with me first. Character creation is Standard Array. I'll gladly help you before the game begins as needed.
We will review and adjust your character level before the game, many of you may have played before, and that's fine.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will play on Discord. We will use Theatre of the Mind (no maps), although illustrations will be provided. Make sure your mic and camera work, and you're good! When you get there, we will bring your character up to the correct level. Know that you can drop in and out of this game at will, that's how it's designed to run. What Doc brings to the table
I excel at roleplay, and there will be plenty of that. I am also good at worldbuilding, and have a rich setting that I hope you will enjoy. I do so love rich, elegant descriptions, and deep, plot driven stories! We are basically rules as written for this game, though the occasional rule of cool may sneak through. You will certainly encounter creatures and spells that you have never seen before. I do try to use some voices, although that is not my strong point! We will not use any maps for combat, this is theatre of the mind. I will have pictures of people and places from time to time. I am extremely flexible, and will adapt to whatever moves you wish to make in-game. I do not seek to limit your player agency. I will, however, not allow any bullying or abuse of any players. I just won't. Should this happen, your money will be refunded and you will be asked to leave. This is a safe place. I realize that in this situation, I am working for you. I appreciate you, and will give you my best in return.

How Doc creates a safe table
Anyone can take a break whenever they wish, including missing a session or two, without penalty. Anyone may request a fade to black without penalty. The safety of the group and the individual is our main concern. At any time, any player may comment on their concerns, and we will discuss them immediately (Luxon Technique).
