The GM ran an engaging one-shot for a system I hadn't played before and was patient in explaining the rules, allowing the players to figure things out. A highlight was the combat, where he set up encounters for us to approach in the way we wanted to. This meant that the players weren't locked into only one method of resolving the issue.

I had a great time with this group; it was my first time playing DaggerHeart. The GM was very knowledgeable and patient with all of us who were still learning the rules, and he was still learning the rules himself, so it made for an informative and fun experience. The storytelling was good. The combat was exciting, and I highly recommend playing DaggerHeart with this GM, especially if you’re new and thinking about trying it.

If I could use all the tags, I would! Joey was an excellent DM for our Daggerheart one-shot. His solid preparation was very evident from the second we started playing. While he was very knowledgable of the rules, he also masterfully displayed the "rule of cool", citing that we are all here to create a cool story at the end of the day! Can't wait for the next session!

Perfect perfect GM! Super nice, super friendly and super engaging. I brought in a six year old who had the best time ever thanks to the kindness and attention of the GM. The game was super interesting, the characters were fun and it was THE best way to learn daggerheart!
