THE BLOOMING REBELLION — A Fabula Ultima Campaign
You have been tasked by the remnants of the Sanctum of Arcanus to restore the Tree of Life’s strength by overthrowing the Great Pact.
About the adventure
◦•●◉✿ 🌳 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄 🌳 ✿◉●•◦ For many years, the Great Pact has held the world together. An unprecedented era of peace for a world once brought to ruin by countless wars. But peace has bred corruption—the world is dying, slowly. The world’s heart—the Tree of Life—has begun to wither, shedding its leaves one by one. The cause? The Great Pact’s overconsumption of the world’s natural resources. The veins of the earth, once flowing with magic, are beginning to run dry. You have been enlisted by the remnants of the Sanctum of Arcanus—a conclave of mages seeking to restore the Tree of Life’s strength by overthrowing the Great Pact. The party is tasked to meet up with House Clamorize, an old noble faction founded around the time of the founding of the Great Pact. House Clamorize wants to negotiate with the Sanctum of Arcanus to hand over **Pandora's Demon** — a magical artifact said to seal a great power that could destabilize the Great Pact's grip on the world. ◦•●◉✿ 🌳 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓🌳 ✿◉●•◦ 💮 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 thanks to Foundry's automations. 💮 A 𝐕𝐈𝐒𝐔𝐀𝐋-𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐋 𝐒𝐓𝐘𝐋𝐄 experience. 💮 RPG-style 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐁𝐀𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒. 💮 A 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊 tailored to the adventure. 💮 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐖𝐎𝐑𝐋𝐃𝐁𝐔𝐈𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆. 💮 A tragic 𝐖𝐀𝐑 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 in a fantasy setting.

About me
> /𝚕𝚘𝚐𝚒𝚗▮ > 𝙲𝚘𝚗𝚗𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐... > 𝚆𝚎𝚕𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎, [𝚞𝚜𝚎𝚛]. Hello and welcome! I'm Mildew, a nerd who's addicted to tabletop RPGs. It started out with my friend introducing me to D&D during the pandemic, now I've ended up running more games and more systems. I've always had an interest in storytelling, stemming from my love of movies, shows, and anime. I grew up in a place where tabletop RPGs weren't even in our vocabulary— an extremely niche hobby. I remember back in grade school we used to play these "paper games", where we made up characters, and make them fight NPCs. No dice, just feels. Now, having discovered the wonderful world of tabletop RPGs, I now have the perfect outlet for all the pent up creative energy I've had. I get to bring in my love for movies and anime through creating dramatic scenes, visualizing them, and finding the right piece of music to go along with it. I get to bring in my love for video games and JRPGs by designing homebrew mechanics and combat. It's just all of my interests consolidated into one. Most of all, I love that collaborative experience, that feeling of having built something together. I look forward to creating a wonderful story with you!

Storytelling
Mildew is a very attentive, detail-oriented GM who puts a lot of effort into making an immersive world for his players. He plays with you, not against you, and is very kind to beginners looking to get into non-DnD TTRPGs. Some highlights of our games together would include the battle sequences. He puts together fun and strategic combat with ever-increasing stakes. He invests a fair bit into lore and world-building, and has fun NPCs for you to interact with. The visuals and ambiance of his games are unmatched and he really works to make sure you get what you're wanting out of a scenario (within reason of course!). Highly recommend.
Mildew primarily runs his games via Foundry and Owlbear. His production value in Foundry is always really cool and fun. He sets it up in such a way that it’s visually engaging to the players as well as having quality of life things for both him and his players. Paired with a tailored soundtrack, you truly do feel how much passion he puts into his games. There’s less production value when he uses Owlbear but he still make sure to give good visuals and sets things up to make things easier for his players to create their characters. He’s been good at guiding newbie players. I’ve been introduced to various TTRPG systems with my friends and he did well in teaching us how they work. The combat he sets up for Fabula Ultima are also incredibly fun! There’s a unique gimmick for each fight so you never feel like you’re doing the same fights over and over. He doesn’t do puzzles, however, which is unfortunate because I enjoy solving puzzles. He allows for exploration but there’s usually a limited amount of places you can go. It’s kind of like when you play JRPGs and you visit a city and you only have key places you can go to. Other key points is that he lets you be creative as long as it makes narrative sense. All you have to do is describe to him what you want to do and he’ll tell you how you can achieve that. There’s room for player agency which is nice. He also encourages the players to negotiate with him for bonuses to rolls or advantage or to just be able to do the thing. Lastly, he gives enough time for players to RP, interact with the world, and interact with each other so the players can feel invested in the games he runs even if it’s just a one shot. TLDR; Roleplay - 5/5 Combat - 5/5 Exploration - 3/5 Puzzles - 2/5 Visuals/Sounds - 5/5 Player Rapport - 5/5

What Mildew brings to the table
My GMing style is pretty lenient, especially on the narrative side. I want my players to feel like they're main characters of a JRPG or anime. During combat, I'll be strict with the rules, as Fabula Ultima's combat mechanics are very tight. I work hard on my presentation, and I'll provide visuals through Foundry, with a visual novel inspired layout, as well as music catered to the adventure.

I'll be using the Playtest Variant study and initiative rules.
