About the adventure

This game is for anyone that loves storytelling, combat, exploration, and making an impact in a fantasy world. It's designed to start at level one, but is flexible as to what level you'd need to be by the end. Whether this is your first time playing, or if you're a veteran player, this campaign is for you. All you really need is a desire to create a good story, and a little bit of flexibility to make a character fit. This campaign in part will be a rags-to-riches story as the players level up. The campaign will also offer players the ability to have their own "base", courtesy of Matt Colville's "Strongholds & Followers". Ranging from a castle, to a tavern, any many other types of structures based on class and player desire, you gain benefits based on what you create.

About me

Hi there! My name is Spencer and I am an avid nerd. I love world building, cartography, story telling, and DMing. My goal as a DM is to make an inclusive space where all feel welcome, both as a player and as a character. I'd love for you to join me so we can tell a collaborative story together!

Character creation
Creating your character

All players will have a free Session 0 with me where I give you an overview of the world, a little more depth for the specific part of the world you'll be playing in, and the gods, factions, and other important details you'll need to know to create a character that meshes with the setting. Starting level - 1 Stats - we'll decide together, but the options are roll 4d6, drop the lowest number, OR point buy, OR standard array.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

You'll need a Discord account, as well as an Internet connection and web browser, and a DND Beyond account (free or subscription, it does not matter). Headphones are recommended for music and dialogue purposes. A Webcam is welcome, but not required.

What Spencer brings to the table

Through DND Beyond you'll gain access to all of the books that I own, which is everything up until about 2022/23. Additionally, I'll provide atmosphere in the form of music, extra visuals to aid you during sessions, and when necessary props, maps, custom items, etc.

Homebrew rules

Nat 20 on an attack - Full damage + damage roll (ex. 4d6+3 would be 27+4d6+3) Health potions as an action - you gain the full benefit of the potion, no need to roll.

How Spencer creates a safe table

I like to send a Google Form to all of my players with questions so I can get a feel for their personal boundaries. If a player does not like a specific topic (think Game of Thrones, 13 Reasons Why, just to name a few) we stay away from those topics.
