About Spencer
Hi there! My name is Spencer and I am an avid nerd. I love world building, cartography, story telling, and DMing. My goal as a DM is to make an inclusive space where all feel welcome, both as a player and as a character. I'd love for you to join me so we can tell a collaborative story together!

How Spencer runs games
My style has evolved as I have gained experience. My philosophy is that I have created a world, but my player's characters live in it. They make decisions that affect the world around them, changing the course of my world in new and interesting ways. To make this happen, I make an effort to meet my players half way so they can play a character that they want to play, but that also fits into the setting.

I deal with rules issues by...
pausing, doing a quick search, and resolving the issue. If there is an issue that can't be solved at the table, then I make a call for now and continue my research after the session.
Rules are...
great. But my number 1 rule is the "rule of cool."
When it comes to voices
it's a personal choice. They are always welcome, but never required.
Spencer's ideal table
All players are welcome at my table, so long as they agree to a social contract that everyone's voice, opinion, and story matters. Even the legendary murder hobos are welcome here. They just might find some challenges in-game if they get too carried away!

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
putting way to much emotional and mental investment into an imaginary character
I love it when a player
describes an epic moment for their character, whether it be defeating an enemy, romancing the bbeg, or leading a town to fight off raiders.
I think it's a red flag when players...
is unnecessarily rude to another player or myself.
