About me
Hey, I’m Harley (she/her)—a queer, autistic, and disabled woman with a theater background and a lifelong love of storytelling. I’ve been playing TTRPGs for over 10 years and finally stepped behind the screen thanks to a little courage and a lot of inspiration. I run inclusive, character-first games where everyone’s voice matters. Whether we’re laughing, crying, or just vibing in the weird and wonderful, my goal is simple: create a space where you feel safe, seen, and part of something unforgettable. Welcome to the Chaos. Let’s play.

Teacher
I played in a one shot hosted by Harlequin and I could not have been more pleased. She is clear, encouraging, dramatic, welcoming, and accepting. I loved how easily I slipped into the world of her imagination. She helped me develop a character that could shine and kick ass in our game. The environment Harlequin creates at the table is unmatched, and I am chomping at the bit to play with her again. Book with her, you won't regret it!!
Character creation
Creating your character
I'll give you the theme and level, and we will handle stats during session 0! Every booking comes with a session 0, so don't worry about that. You'll create your characters at Level 4 with the exception of Stats. We will roll stats and set up Owlbear Rodeo at Session 0! I allow most things, with the exception of Unearthed Arcana as it's mostly un-tested and has caused issues in past games for me.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Let's make this really easy. First, make sure you have accounts on Discord,
What Harlequin Grey brings to the table
Welcome, one and all! As a DM,I bring a lot with me to help the games run smoothly, create an immersive experience, and to help you learn to play Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition! Below is a list for easy review: > DnD Beyond: An online tool from character creation and story tracking. Great for beginners, and DnDBeyond has a setting that gives you some extra help! > Owlbear Rodeo: A Virtual Table Top (VTT) program that allows me to provide interactive maps for both exploration and combat, health tracking on screen, measurement tools, immersive sound like ambiance and music, and more! I will set everything up and teach you how to use it in Session 0 > Free Session 0: Session 0 is a session that takes place before the actual game starts. We sit down, roll out your character's stats, adjust any parts of your character if you would like, learn Owlbear Rodeo, and anything else we need to in order to jump into gameplay the following session > Immersive NPCs: I come from a theatrical background, and have made a habit of doing voices, physicality, and making the world seem as real as possible. > New Player Cheat Sheet: I've created a sheet that lays out what the basics, what everything is used for, and how to apply it in game. > Discord: All of the sessions will be run through Discord
Homebrew rules
As this is a beginner learning game, I'll be keeping homebrew rules minimal. These are • Critical Hits: Immediate Max Damage on the first die, roll the rest of the dice (if you have multiples) for the rest of your damage. • Rule of Cool (if you want to do something that goes against the Rules as Written, you can explain to to me and attempt it anyway) IF you can explain it to me in a way that makes sense. As always, the dice will be in control of how successful your attempt is.

Safety
How Harlequin Grey creates a safe table
I have a safety checklist/google form that you will each fill out. No other players will see how you responded, and I can make sure to steer away from topics that are unsafe for someone. If you decide you do not want to fill out the safety checklist, I am not the DM for you. As for content warnings, I generally tailor my sessions to my party. If you don't want a subject to be covered, just let me know and we won't touch it. I've put G-rated, however we can discuss everyone's boundaries and make this a fun experience for everyone involved.
