About the adventure

Inspired by the book of short stories "The King in Yellow" written by Robert W. Chambers. Synopsis: It's the 1920's. An ancient powerful artifact from Egypt is being auctioned off at the Miskatonic University Art Museam. You've been asked by K. the leader of a secret order "The investigators of the Unknown" to retrieve this artifact at any cost. With local mobsters, and the finatic terrorist cult "The Brotherhood of the Yellow Sign" after the mask as well you'll have your hands full. Good luck investigator, and stay sane. This is a series of 4 self contained stories that can be played out in any order with the exception of Inhabitant of Carcosa. It is recommended to play all 3 adventures before playing Inhabitant of Carcosa. 1) The Playbook 2)The Pallid Mask 3)The Yellow Sign 4)Inhabitant of Carcosa

About me

Salutations gamers! What can I say. I love TTRPG's. Although I started out as a Warhammer 40k player I found that games like D&D, and Call of Cthulhu were much more affordable. My dream is to become a full time GM (Game Master). My philosophy as a GM is to make sure that the players are thoroughly entertained. If that means doing goofy voices, sound effects custom maps. Whatever! As long as you leave the game satisfied.

Reuben is a Great DM! He has and uses a lot of tools at his disposal and has a really great way of making the world feel alive! I think if you're looking for a DM you should give him a try!

Great at role-playing. Very inclusive and welcoming. Player focused. Working on learning how to be better and runs a nice game overall.

Had a great time with Reuben testing out The Unnamable. It might not have a name but it'll remember the name of my Vickers-Berthier! In all seriousness had a lot of fun with him learning Call of Cthulhu, great sounds and music to set the mood, and what it means to be a investigator that's just bad at investigating.

The GM really set the scenes for the game with a well laid out story and add of sound and music ambience. Game play interaction was great. GM’s knowledge of the game added to the story.

Character creation
Creating your character

Players can head to Chaosium.com, and use a free character sheet which calculates many of the values for you, and you can just manually type in all the values once you enter my game. Otherwise I have the character wizard mod installed in my foundry vtt making character creation very quick, and easy.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

I have many resources in my discord channel for 1920's setting. Simply head to the 1920's resources channel in the server, and you'll find many things to help you get in to character. If you prefer to wing it I'm sure you'll do fine.
