About the adventure
In the quiet village of Elden Hollow, nestled between a dense forest and a serene lake, something unnatural has appeared. One night, a blinding blue flash split the sky—when the light faded, a temple stood where none had existed before. Its watchful stone eyes loom over the town, unblinking, silent, ancient. The bravest villagers attempted to explore its halls. Some never returned. Those who did emerged blind and broken, ranting about huge insects, whispering voices, and hundreds of staring eyes. Fear grips the town. The leaders plead for help. Someone must unravel the mystery before more are lost. In this level 5 adventure, you are experienced but unprepared for what awaits beyond the temple’s threshold. The dangers inside are not of this world, and survival will require more than just steel and spells. You must uncover the truth. You must face what watches in the dark. And most importantly, you must not look away.

I just want to take a moment to say how much I’ve truly enjoyed the Old Margrove campaign so far, it’s honestly one of my favorite games I’ve ever played. The worldbuilding has been immersive, rich, and eerie in all the right ways. Every session feels like peeling back a new layer of some ancient, living mystery. Whether we’re facing bramble beasts, negotiating with fey emissaries, or navigating twisting ruins, there’s always something fresh and unexpected around the corner. One of the standout strengths of this campaign is the atmosphere the DM creates. The use of thematic music really elevates the mood sometimes I don’t even realize how tense or enchanted I’ve become until the music shifts and everything clicks. And the NPC voices? Top-tier. Each one feels distinct and memorable. Truly grateful for the effort and creativity that’s gone into this. Can’t wait to see where the forest leads next!

I played a one-shot with GM Clay. Had a lot of fun doing a pirate adventure. Strongly recommend checking out one of his games. The game was filled with adventure and a little roleplay. Beginner and Veteran friendly.
Character creation
Creating your character
Session 0 and character creation will be done through chat on Discord and Roll20 leading up to the game. Pregenerated characters will also be available. Characters will start at level 5 Included shared compendiums: All WotC 2014 options Kobold Press: Midgard Handbook, Southlands Handbook, Tome of Heroes, Wastes of Chaos I'm available daily to answer any questions or assist with character creation.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a mic, webcam is optional. We will use Roll20 and Discord so please have accounts set up for both. Links will be sent at player approval.
What Clay brings to the table
This game will use custom maps, point of view artwork, handouts, and music. Roleplayed and voiced NPCs to improve immersion and atmosphere Tokens will be AI created based on character description or player supplied artwork. I also have several options in my Roll20 library to choose from. Pregenerated characters will also be available. Handbooks and compendiums will be shared on player approval.

This is an adult game with adult themes, please let me know of any subjects to avoid via DM in discord. We will use an open door, feel free to step away or speak up at any time. There will be no sexual content and all "extremes" will take place behind the veil. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated.
