Meet the Game Master
About me
Iβve been running Pathfinder for about 4 years and have been Dmβing for quite a few years. I pride myself on running games for those who are new to the system and those who may be returning. At my tables, I ensure a friendly environment and enjoyable experiences. My games are where everyone will shine and no character is left behind. Things that make me different as a GM are: - I love to reward creativity, so long as it doesn't unbalance the game even at the expense of the encounters I've spent hours preparing. Creativity is just awesome to see play out, especially when the table is working together - I'm probably the worst at doing voices so if I do try, there might be a laugh there - From what my players tell me, the passion I have for my games is infectious - I always welcome new and returning players and will make it my mission to help anyone get a better understanding of the game and system Things about me as a person: - I'm gay, so Iβm an avid supporter of including everyone no matter the background 100% LGBTQ+ Supportive - Iβm a furry and my persona is the face of my career. Donβt let the feline charm fool the senses, my dice are Simply Critical In the end, Iβm just a chill dude who vibes in telling grand tales. Where the lives of adventurers will possibly change, for better or worse that is for the dice to decide.

Storytelling
I have been playing with Simply for over a year at this point, in multiple campaigns (Kingmaker, Blood Lords, Stolen Fates, and just started Wardens of Wildwood), some of which are still ongoing. The worldbuilding Simply does is reactive to the players' interest and the interactions we enjoy, above and beyond what is presented in the adventure paths, and it makes it such an awesome experience that builds on itself session after session. Simply incorporates the players' characters into the world he's running through adding in engaging elements from characters' backstories (all the way from off-hand mentions of things to entire side adventures) or advancing minor interactions into larger plot lines, which really flesh out the world for us and makes the games he runs both really enjoyable and really replayable, because each run-through will have differences tailored to the group that's playing. Random NPCs--whether part of the adventure or something Simply came up with on the spot--can often become critical members of the story as well. A few examples: In Kingmaker, we recruited a kobold tribe as founding members of the kingdom we formed; later, they were being harassed/eaten by griffons, so our party went out and tracked the griffons to their nest, defeating most of them--but leaving some alive to be tamed and trained as mounts; we hired a griffon warden/trainer (a character from my character's backstory); and now, we have griffon-mounted aerial kobold alchemical bombers raining fiery death upon our enemies, with *minimal* collateral damage. Also in Kingmaker, an interaction with a bandit group where we attempted diplomacy rather than combat helped us take out the Stag Lorg without a fight (they added better poison to the wine and helped us refine our disguise/infiltration plan); later, that bandit group's leader and her bandits joined our kingdom as enforcers/guards; then, the bandit group leader became our army's General; and two of the party members introduced her to a random NPC who then became her fiance, and my character has offered to conduct the Heartbond ritual for them at their wedding after the current war we're in is over. In Blood Lords... Well, I probably shouldn't post specifics in public, but I will state that Simply added in a lot of whimsically gruesome elements to the story that were quite enjoyable for my character, the sadistic serial killer fear-focused bard ghost.
I joined the day of the first Pathfinder 2E game session and Simply was kind enough to get me setup in Foundry and run through a quick interview, despite the fact that I had missed the original session 0. The session itself was well paced, with everyone getting plenty of time to roleplay, and promptly moving things along when there were lulls in the conversation to keep everyone engaged. He used detailed custom maps as the official foundry module hasn't been released for our AP yet. Simply was kind and accommodating, and did an amazing job running a social event with about eight unique NPCs where we were all using roleplay and skill checks to try and gain favor with them. Each NPC had unique personality traits that really made them feel alive, and Simply did a wonderful job with voices giving each of the NPCs their own little speaking quirks. There was also a flurry of combat towards the end of the session that was paced expertly. It was overall a great experience and I can't wait to play more.
Simply_Critical is simply delightful as a GM. Whether youβre a seasoned veteran or totally new to RPGs Simplyβs table feels like home. Being in one of his games really does feel like sitting at a table with a group of good friends, and a lot of that is due to how supportive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic Simply is.
He made a fun and interesting experience from the beginning and was very patient with me as a new player. He took the time to help me learn the ropes and answered any of my questions. Good support and world building. Allows for creativity. Makes everyone feel welcome and included.
Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will happen at session zero, they can be created beforehand but will be able to better fit in during the planned session. If you want to plan in advance please try using Pathbuilder. Characters will start out at level 1.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
- Having a Forge account and Discord account with a working mic is needed. - Having knowledge of the rules is handy but is not required, there will be time after sessions to go over rules for better understanding.
