How to prepare
Players will require a computer with internet access so you can see the maps and play. Communication will be over Discord. This can be done via a mobile phone or through the computer with a microphone. I will send you the link to our campaign which will be on Foundry VTT. A basic understanding of the rules of D&D 5e is great but not essential as we will help you learn as we go along. This is aimed to help players new to this platform and just learning.
What I provide
We will be using the Foundry VTT program for the game and Discord for communication. In the session we will use custom maps and tokens to follow the gameplay. During the lesser combat times, there may be pictures depicting the scene to help the flow of the story. Content from D&D Beyond is utilized to help with character development and items of use. As a GM, I love roleplay and enjoy the vocal acting of characters. I encourage creativity and if you have a great idea that is a bit left of center, then say it and persuade me to role with it.
Gameplay details
Prior to the beginning of gameplay, we will check in and make sure that everyone is well and in the right space to adventure forth. We will re-cap from the previous week and ensure that all players have the space to get up-to-speed prior to start. At the end of the session we will re-cap the events of the session and discuss what went well and what the players would like to see more/less of in the game.

How will character creation work
Prior to the commencement of session one, we will discuss who your character is, their race and class. Once we have developed your character, we will then begin the first session and have the ability to introduce yourselves into the game. Once the campaign is underway and you are joining into the game, we will discuss your ideas on what you wish to bring to the game. Character, race, class, etc. Then we will add you into the story arc on your first session. All character creation will be based around the D&D concepts. I am open to all suggestions, as long as they are reasonable and realistically fit the campaign. Please refer to D&D Beyond or D&D books to create your character for submission.
