About the adventure
In the Old Bastion City of Kalaman, bustling life thrived without care. The guards continued to patrol, the fishers went out to the bay, the merchants bartered and traded, such is the life. Citizens are in ignorant bliss about the foreboding return of an ominous threat. You've been sent a letter, an invitation, to visit a dear friend's funeral. The vanguard of the knights, the folk hero of the people, someone close to your heartā Sir Ispin Greenshield. He's left something special to those he believed in the most. An artifact clamored by a silent cult, soon to put you at the heart of this upcoming war. The Second Cataclysm is at the brink... For the Dragon Queen's return awaits! *-*-*-*-* Based on the 'Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen', 'Tyranny of the Dragons', & 'Rise of Tiamat' modules, this Unveiled Chronicle explores and expands upon the stories untold from the North of Ansalon. Fight first-hand in a war against the impending return of the Queen of Evil ā Takhisis ā and her cult of dragon fanatics which will eventually turn into the formidable Dragon Army. ā³ Interact with this landscape filled with fates that intertwine with yours. š¹ Encounter creatures & soldiers of war bound to despair those who cross their paths. š Discover the stories and the occult which led to the rise of the Dragon Army. š Unfold original stories tailored for New and Veteran players. š Be it to Save the People; Claim the Land as your Own; or merely Survive this Hellholeā you know that you must first have the evil begone. Context: 300 years ago, the Cataclysm occurred. The Elven race and the Draconic bloodline went to war against one another, leaving the latter tattered and broken. Takhisis (Tiamat)ā the Dragon Queenā was angered and began to wreak havoc, leaving the land desolate in her wake. The Knights of Solamnia & the Mages of High Sorcery rallied to stop her with guidance from the deities. Their efforts came to fruition, however not without sacrifice. Since then, the no god nor dragon was seen or heard from again.

About me
Heya, I'm Zed! Someone with a definitely real, not edited, fancy moustache ready to Dungeon some Dragons! I've started DM-ing since I was kid, and had been DM-ing since. Our game system? A crude homemade TTRPG cuz none of us knew about and had access to the big official ones. It was fun brewing worlds then, so much so that I've honed that habit today. For me, nothing beats a fun light-hearted roleplay with a dash of interesting gritty combat unfolding in a creative play of rules. My experience of hosting one-shots gave me insight on how to keep combat interesting and blood-pumping, not just a slugfest. Years of DM-ing as a kid and for kids had also shown me how to encourage roleplaying more on the table. Be it just flavoring actions, or maybe giving your character a voice, it's all gonna be fun. At the heart of it all, of course, is creativity. Anything your imagination can think of can be done. And it's always great to see everything unfold from one's mind unto the table. šFINAL WORDS Uhh, yea... That's me for starters, more on how I DM below. Of course just send me a message if you ever wanna discuss anything. Hope to play with you and make memorable moments together!

Creating your character
You can create your character (and back-ups) at your own leisure before the game following these guidelines: šæ All Characters will start at Level 1, going up to Level 13 š Each Character will own 1 Common Item which grows in power with you š All officially released compendiums by Wizards of the Coasts are allowed to be used. Some 3rd Party Compendiums like Humblewood are also on the table. (Unlisted 3rd Party or Homebrew Materials can be discussed with me) š² You can Roll for Stats; Use Point Buy; Use Standard Array; or Use my homebrew Heroic Array.

What Zed Jaime brings to the table
I offer my very best: š A comprehensive list of Official WotC and 3rd-Party Compendiums at Roll20. š High Quality Maps, Tokens, and Handouts for better visualization. š¼ Thematic Music and Sound Effects to improve immersion. š NPC voices that hopefully gives justice to the characters. š Homebrew Rules favoring Players for more Epic and Tactical plays.
Homebrew rules
House Rules are in place favoring Players which give a more Epic and Tactical feel to each encounter. Some highlights are the following: šŖ¦ DEATH HOUSE RULE! 1. Beyond Death Saves š - While a creature is unconscious and at 0hp, it can awaken to 1hp and perform its turn by taking Levels of Exhaustion. - The number of successful Death Saving throws determine the Level of Exhaustion taken. 2. Against All Odds āļø - A creature at 0hp can attempt to attack, escape, or help by automatically getting a Fail on the Death Saving throw instead of rolling. 3. Last Stand š½ - Upon death, a character takes a final turn in an attempt to help allies or take down enemies. š¤ŗCOMBAT HOUSE RULES 1. Healing Potions - Action = Full Heal to Self - Bonus Action = Roll to Heal for Self 2. Protection Reaction - As a reaction when a creature within 5ft of you is hit with an attack, you can take all the damage instead. 3. Strained Spellcasting - Spellcasters may cast two leveled-spells in a turn (instead of just one). - The caster must succeed a Constitution check or gain 1 Level of Exhaustion. šļøCHARACTER CREATION HOUSE RULES! 1. The Heroic Array - Standard Array may be too standard for some folks, so here's a couple of new choices that Point Buy can never buy! | Allrounder = 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8 | Support = 17, 15, 12, 11, 8, 7 | Specialist = 17, 16, 11, 10, 8, 7 | Chosen by Heaven & Hell = 19, 18, 15, 7, 5, 3 2. New x Legacy 5e Guidelines - Both 2014 and 2024 versions are fun to play, thus I've made a set of rules and guidelines that will allow both to exist in the game, while keeping everything cohesive and lore accurate.

How Zed Jaime creates a safe table
Be prepared for scenarios that will play with your creativity paired with fun roleplaying, and gritty combat encounters that will make your characters experience the thrill of life & death & everything in-between! Before the game, you'll create a character. We'll work on a concise yet cohesive story for your character which we can further flesh out. During session 0 we'll discuss the possible do's and don'ts from each player as well as the overarching focus of the game (whether it be the plot, the combat, custom stories, a balance of all, etc). At the start of the campaign, a Personalized Mini-Scenario will be played out for each of your characters to mark your arrival in the world as well as to show a gist of who you all will be (detailing your characters backstory and whereabouts during the beginning of campaign.
