About the adventure

The world is in turmoil, and its up to the party to bring peace to the lands! What is the problem? Who are the characters? That's up to you! We'll have a session zero (free of charge where we come together and created characters, then the world will be meticulously crafted around those characters to make everyone feel important and make roleplaying easy. Are you new to D&D? No problem! I'm as patient a teacher as they come.

About me

Hey! I'm Foster! I love to create worlds and tell collaborative stories. I'd love to create a brand new homebrew world catered entirely to a group's interests. My method of world building involves starting with a basic idea for session 0, getting all of the characters backstories compiled, then crafting the world around those backstories. That way, everyone feels important and gets their time to shine. I make my worlds detailed and feel alive! People of all genders, races, and orientations are welcome with me!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen at session zero, which will be free of charge. Together, or 1 on 1, we'll work out the details of your character based off of some basic frameworks of the world. Characters usually start at level 3 in my campaigns, but if you'd like the level 1 experience I'm happy to oblige!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Everyone will need a D&D beyond account, and Roll20 account set up (the free versions of both are fine.) Everyone will need at least a microphone, though having a webcam as well is preferred. Being able to see your face let's me know what things you're reacting to and interested in, and which things are less interesting and should get less attention.

What Foster brings to the table

I will always have a custom map for each encounter, whether I create it myself in inkarnate or purchase it from an artist online. Custom player tokens can be done through Midjourney if requested, but if it's preferred to keep AI out of the game I entirely understand! I'll have most of the mainline books available to you on D&D beyond, and can always acquire more. My DM style is to have mostly humanoid enemies, so that they can be sympathetic, and easily roleplayed with, but there will be the occasional big monster to take down. I tend to go one session for roleplay, then one for combat where applicable, but sometime I just gotta go with the flow. Story will be curated and impactful, and combat will be big and bombastic. I do my best to create voices for every character, and will utilize combat music to set the tone. While I'm well familiar with the rules of the game, if a moment is cool enough, you can certainly get away with bending those rules. I'm very adaptable and create an experience that is best tailored to my individual players.

Safety

How Foster creates a safe table

During our session zero, we'll also go over the use of safety tools to determine how to make them work most effectively. Coming up with a collective lines and veil's sheet will make sure that we have boundaries set as a group. Then, we can determine if we'd like XNO's to be messaged, on camera, or even anonymous.
