About the adventure
💡 Original Adventure | 🎓 Character Driven | 🪄 Magic School 📖 Story: As you take a seat in the front of the classroom, you notice that none of the other students seem to be doing the same. They all stand around at the center of the room, some of them flipping through spell books, others sorting through components and filling their pouches. You hear a loud roar from a large wooden crate on the professor's desk. Perhaps magic school isn't exactly what you were anticipating... In this game you will play as students attending Wittebak Academy of Arcane Apprenticeship. You will go to class, study, and get good grades, but you will also make friends, join organizations, go on secret adventures, fight monsters, and more! 📌 Basic Game Info: - Play characters from level 5-12 - Study magic - Uncover secrets within and without school grounds - Be as silly or serious with your character as you like - Open to players of all types and experience levels

About me
Hi! I'm Sarah. I'm a professional GM. I love reading, writing, and playing with my cat. More importantly, I love getting together with friends online and creating fun stories together! I started playing D&D about 8 years ago and haven't stopped. Since then, I have made an effort to continue expanding my rpg horizons, playing and running many systems like SW5e, Kids on Bikes, A Familiar Problem, Daggerheart, and more! 5 years ago I was asked to DM for a group of brand new players and it was such a blast. So, here I am, looking for more ways to run games for players of all levels and walks of life! Let it be known that I am extremely beginner-friendly. I love any opportunity to introduce someone new to the game I love so much. I place heavy emphasis on worldbuilding and immersion, using an interest in anthropology and culture to create rich and diverse worlds. My GM style places a lot of emphasis on the storytelling and roleplaying aspect of D&D and less of a focus on game mechanics. Though I tend to throw challenging combat at my players, it always has connections to the overall story of the game. So... if all that sounds like something you're into, we could be a great fit!

Creating your character
- Character creation will take place primarily during a session 0 - Players should come prepared with character concepts for a level 5 spellcaster - All characters must be created through the DnD Beyond campaign for this game (to be available via Discord upon joining)
This table is LGBT+ and Neurodivergent friendly! I am currently requiring 'request to join' for all ongoing campaigns just so we can have a chat about the direction of the game and if its a good fit. The Current Party: - An Elf Druid - An Aasimar Warlock
What to expect
Preparing for the session

How Sarah Marie creates a safe table
💬 We will have a session 0 where game details will be discussed beforehand. ⬛️ There will be a 10 minute break about halfway through each session. 🚪 Open door policy and have no issue with players leaving a game if they feel triggered or uncomfortable in any way. 📌 Come to me beforehand if they have any triggers I should know about as well as reach out during the game if something comes up so we can proceed in a way that is enjoyable for all involved. 🚫 There will be a way to see all the lines and veils players and I have on Discord and I will reach out to players for their lines and veils to add to that list. ❗️Non-compliance will result in removal from the game without refund.
