Creating your character

Characters will begin at level 1, with intial discussions on character creation happening in Session 0. Players then will create the characters in their own time, but can contact me if they need support. Characters will preferably be made on D&DBeyond (where my content is stored and shared) OR on Roll20 (if the player has access to their own content or wants to manually input). All offically published books are free to use, though anything with a "legacy" lable must use the updated version. Third party content is subject to approval, even if it is freely accessible on D&DBeyond.

Preparing for the session

- A mic to talk, headphones/noise cancellation, & a stable internet connection are necessary. - You will need an account for; Discord, Roll20, D&DBeyond and (optionally) Syrinscape. - Level 1 Character Sheet must be prepared before Session 1 (but I can help if contacted before game), details of character creation will be gone over in Session 0. - (Optional) Download a piece of free software called Syrinscape Online Player to recieve music and sounds (discussed in Session 0). There is an option to use the player through a browser without a requirement for any downloads.

Homebrew rules

I use the following light Homebrew/Optional Rules: - *Auto Success/Fail on all d20 tests (*best/worst possible outcome in a situation) - Maximum Critical Hits - Bonus action potion (roll), Action Potion (max on the dice) - Flanking - Skill Challenges - Group skill checks = average number/success, not the lowest roll

How Euan Buddie creates a safe table

During the later chapters, there are some themes of Cosmic & Body Horror, the tone of which will be adjusted based on Line/Veil feedback. The game will be using Lines and Veils to ensure a comfortable experience for all players. This is done via a joined sheet which everyone is able to see, but it is completely anonymous. Session 0 will discuss; Code of Confuct, Game Mechanics, Character Creation, Campaign Context, and give oppertunity for questions. 3 Hour long session, 15 minute break midway. Debreif at the end (included within time).
