About the adventure
Do you want learn magic and live your Harry Potter style dream in a D n D game....well! Learn magic at Strixhaven! Attend classes, do exams (with dice!), build lasting friendships, play exciting games in the game, and participate in extra-curricular activities too! Strixhaven is an adventure for those who enjoy exploration, relationship building, and engaging in diplomacy/duplicity. Adventures happen between classes, so bring a sword and spell too! Choose from 5 colleges, cast spells, solve puzzles, and uncover enchanting secrets. Embark on a mystical journey to discover ancient artifacts and hidden treasures. DO YOU DARE! The Strixhaven, a curriculum of chaos takes adventurers from there first year of magic school all the way to their final fourth of a wizard graduation and is designed for characters of levels 1–10. A great game for beginners, more experienced players and any one who really loves the idea of being a wizard (though your not limited to only playing the wizard class, all classes are open) . I will be helping guide and educate you on D n D when needed. Its a heavy RP game with lots of chance for character development and acting out your heroes, there’s still combat of course but it’s not a dungeon crawl. If you like the Critical Role style of play this is for you. I like to help my groups make friendships with each other so we can all be silly and have some fun. Hate Tech or Socially Anxious! I don’t like tech either so I’ve tried use the easiest ones available and that are free. Feeling anxious of meeting new people? You will be able chat to me before hand so you will know me before the game and I make sure all the groups are integrating and if you have a shy day sometimes that’s cool. (if you don’t understand any of the D n D words here don’t worry I will explain it)

There’s a heavy focus on building your characters background, personality and goals from the get go. I give time for players to socalise with each other in each game to do this. There will be monsters and fighting but also merriment and heart ache. (generally every other game we have a big fight session, while the other is exploration and socialising) I try to conform my style to whatever is best-suited to each party and their campaign. There are so many ways to enjoy this game that I find it works best to ask players a lot of questions, seek a lot of feedback, and always be prepared to adjust. Creating your character
Your first session is half price . If you join for session 0 we will make the characters as a group and if joining after I will spend some time with you before the game separately making your character. You will start at level 1 (or higher depending when you join the adventure) and make your character in DND Beyond, point buy/standard array, and will I will give you a link to join my campaign. No home brew is allowed, and you’re free to use any of my shared resources on D n D Beyond to make your character and I can help guide you in the make.
We use 2014 rules and info so that players can have access to the over a 100 extra sub classes and races not available in the 2024 content (and many more spells too).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I use Session Zero to address any safety concerns the game might entail, and I am always open to being messaged privately if further concerns arise.( if joining after this, all the safety notes will be posted in the discord room) I prefer to run a tight ship and keep the story moving, but the most important thing to me is that all my players are having fun. I will provide a Discord chat room for the game to be played and also a text chat room so you can talk to me or the rest of the party when you wish to. You will need the free link for Discord I send you and I use Owl Bear which you just need click to access for maps. The only registering is a free D n D beyond account to make your character (takes about 2 mins to do) Equipment needed. A computer or tablet, computer will make it easier. webcam(adds more fun but you don’t have to use) and a mic. Thinking about the race and class you like your character be would a great help pre game but not necessary. (e.g an elf wizard)
