It could be that you make a stand and defend your hometown from everything evil that comes there. It could be that you take to the road and go hunt them down, wherever you can find them. About me

Hi! I’m Eryn, and for the past 15 years I’ve been the architect of epic quests, cozy tavern tales, and unforgettable misadventures. I believe tabletop roleplay shines brightest when everyone at the table feels seen, safe, and excited to dive into the story. I specialize in running queer- and femme-friendly tables where allies are welcome, and I put a strong emphasis on collaborative storytelling, character-driven plots, and roleplay that makes the dice feel alive. Mechanics matter—I love when the rules help create tension or triumph—but for me, the story is always the heartbeat of the game. What Makes My Table Different? -Inclusive and welcoming: a space where creativity thrives and respect is a given. -Flexible playstyles: live online games or play-by-post for those who love a slower burn. -Custom campaigns & private games: tell me your dream adventure, and we’ll build it. If you’re ready to play in a world that feels alive, inclusive, and a little bit magical, pull up a chair—I’ve saved you a seat.

Character creation

Creating your character

For this episode, we will meet on discord in a "Party-lounge" chat and discuss our group of hunters. As an initial group, we will discuss what we are both excited to see and what we would like to keep away from the game space. As DM/Keeper I will be in charge of: -designing monsters and mysteries for the hunters to deal with -bringing the world to life -portraying the monsters and people the hunters meet. The rest of you will decide how the hunters work together to investigate the weird situations they find, slay the monsters causing the trouble, and save the people in danger. We will create our hunters together, all information, sheets, etc needed to do so will be available on discord. We will use Avrae, an only slightly evil-aligned dice roller to roll dice on discord. No experience with Avrae is required, anyone who needs help, I'll be there for you. An inspirational watch list to prepare for this adventure might include: -Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) -Supernatural (2005) -Smallville (2001)

The current party

Monstrous mysteries seeking supernatural hunters to solve. Become immersed in the weird and mystical town of Misty Falls. Don't blow your cover as you protect the citizens. Don't get killed by monsters! Team up with other hunters to solve the mystery!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Player to-do list: 1. Download Discord, create an account and verify your account (https://discord.com/) 2. Ideally, but not mandatory, have a glance over The Monster of the week rule book to cover basic rules and have a light understanding of how moves work and which character skin you would be interested in playing (For purchase here: https://evilhat.com/product/monster-of-the-week/), and large portions will be made available privately on the discord server available after the booking is made for this game. Other copies might be available elsewhere online or at your local library!

What Eryn brings to the table

As DM, I’m active daily to interact and offer story progression, ensure the safety and fun of our gaming space and assist players with character creation/use of Avrae. During session times will be my “in office” hours for the week, when I dedicate an evening to update our adventure log (helpful entries about the story thus far) and in more immediacy interact if you would like to move a scene forward, more speedily interact with the world/npcs and hangout as a community. I will bring: -System mastery of Monster of the week -Engaging storytelling -Experiences with Avrae -Narrative illustrations to help build immersion -Use of battlemaps and tokens with images posted updates to initiative encounters -Use of syrinscape audio during office hours

Safety

How Eryn creates a safe table

When you play this game, you will create hunters, people who have devoted their lives to killing monsters. Playing alongside the Keeper (that’s short for “Keeper of Monsters and Mysteries”). Your hunters aren’t normal people; you’re not even normal monster hunters. You are the ones who stand out, larger than life and twice as badass. You can change the world—save it, destroy it, or alter it forever. One way or another, you will make a difference. Safety tools will always be available for reference in a channel of their own on the discord server. -In session 0 we will go over the themes of the campaign and our expectations of one another. This would include character creation, desired narrative and roleplay depth as well as, mechanically what source books we would like to see at the table. -Lines and Veils will take place during our session 0 and considered a living document, meaning it is always on the table for evaluation and updating the needs of our gaming space changes. -X card is available as an Emote as well as our “VCR” system that allows an easy shorthand to communicate needs, safety and wants within a scene.
