About the adventure

Awaken in Sigil, the City of Doors. At the center of the multiverse stands a city where every alley hides a portal to another reality. In the planes, belief is not metaphor—it is power. The discipline of your will may manifest wonders, glory, and impossible treasures… but the shadows of your subconscious can just as easily give shape to your deepest nightmares. Here, what you understand can elevate you. What you ignore may devour you. In this campaign we will play Planescape: Turn of Fortune’s Wheel, a strange and philosophical adventure across the planes. You will explore bizarre realms, meet powerful factions, and navigate a multiverse where ideas can be as dangerous as swords. Expect mystery, cosmic weirdness, faction intrigue, and character-driven storytelling where your choices truly shape the story. But something is wrong with you. You awaken in Sigil with fractured memories and a disturbing truth: death does not behave the way it should. Somehow reality itself is glitching—and you may be at the center of it. To uncover who you are, you will have to confront the infinite planes and the unsettling mystery behind your own existence. This game is perfect for players who enjoy roleplay, strange worlds, philosophical themes, and character discovery, while still experiencing thrilling planar adventures. Step through the door. Discover who you are. Decide who you will become.

About me

I was nine years old when I was introduced to the marvelous world of Dungeons and Dragons by my older brothers. It was amazing for me how I and my fellow players could have the experience of being the main characters of an exciting story. Soon I wanted to share this with everyone, so I became the forever Dungeon Master of all the school and job places throughout my career. This love for tales that TTRPG gave to me turned me into a scriptwriter in my adult life. All the joyful fun that happens around the table during a game session also had an impact on me towards comedy. I currently work at two tv shows (One comedy show and one D&D show) in Mexico. I also have been a professional GM for five years now. With these jobs, I happen to be a very happy man. I'm bilingual, so some of my games are in English, and then some others are played in Spanish. A lot has happened in the world over the past few years, things that have changed how we face our life and how we see ourselves. So mental health is also a big issue for me. My games are focused on creating a connection between the adults we are now and the inner child that fuels our day-to-day life with the energy of JOY.

What Omar, the Cartesian Roach brings to the table

In this next session that you’re going to play with me, you can expect: - A multiverse affected by your decisions. - A customized 3D image of your character (and any companions) with a beautiful artistic touch. You will become the co-creator of your mini! Here's an example: https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D46065471/ - Real-time personalized virtual 3D maps for combat encounters. - An attentive DM, who focuses on improving the group dynamics as well as making sure your individual needs are met.

Homebrew rules

To keep the game fast, dramatic, and slightly more dangerous, I use a few house rules: • Potions – Drinking a potion as an Action restores the maximum healing. Drinking it as a Bonus Action requires rolling the dice, and there is a small chance of becoming magically intoxicated (Poisoned condition). • Critical Failures on Saving Throws – If a character rolls a natural 1 on a saving throw, the effect is treated like a critical hit, doubling the damage dice. • Lethality Philosophy – Inspired by Brennan Lee Mulligan’s lethality approach, combat can be dangerous and meaningful. Smart play, teamwork, and creativity are rewarded. • Resurrection Magic – Spells that bring characters back from death have adjusted costs and narrative consequences, making death meaningful but not necessarily the end. • Bastion Rules – If Bastions are used, the DM handles most of the bookkeeping so players can enjoy the benefits without slowing down the game.

Safety

How Omar, the Cartesian Roach creates a safe table

Player comfort and trust are very important at my table. During Session 0, we will talk about your playstyle, what you enjoy in a game, and what you hope to experience in this campaign. I will also share my approach to storytelling, how I interpret the D&D multiverse and Planescape, and we will create your character together while reviewing the house rules used in the game. Session 0 is also the moment to discuss lines, veils, personal triggers, and any concerns you may have. Players are always welcome to ask questions and express boundaries so we can create a space where everyone feels comfortable exploring the story. Throughout the campaign, I check in regularly with players to make sure everyone is having a good time. I encourage open communication and suggestions, and if conflicts or differences between players arise, I address them carefully and respectfully, always prioritizing a collaborative and supportive table environment. My goal is to create a space where players feel safe, heard, and excited to participate in the story we build together.
