About the adventure
“A fight is going on inside me,” the jedi master said to the padawan. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.” “Which wolf will win?” asked the Padawan "The one you feed." the Jedi Master responded. You are a force sensitive padawan, trying to find your way in the force with no jedi left to train you. You have stowed away upon a ship you hear rumors of a force powered technology of times past and the potential location of an ancient temple. Knowing it could be the key to finishing your training, you make plans to set off on a life-changing journey.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Well met Adventurers! I am Avner, and I am excited to either introduce you to the world of tabletop role-playing or help you continue on your epic journey! I began DMing 10 years ago when I got tired of waiting for someone to run a D&D game and decided to learn how to run a game myself. I have been immersed in the hobby ever since. I have done my best to soak up any system I can get my hands on and do everything I can to spread the hobby that previously was much harder to get into. I started my dice rolling journey playing the Warhammer Quest and Hero Quest RPGs and now have since come to love the new 5e D&D system, Star Wars RPG, Pathfinder, Genesys, Cypher, World of Darkness and many more. What I find all these games have in common is it allows the players to tell a shared story with highs and lows that create memories that last years. I have also played in many different formats as well from throwing dice around a table or across a camera to using Roll 20, Fantasy Grounds and many more VVT options. I have even done my fair share of teaching people to play via play-by-post format. If there is a way to play I most likely have tried it. My passion for bringing the joy of the hobby to new players is unmatched, and I hope you give me the chance to bring that joy to you.

Creating your character
We will complete character creation in session zero, but I will allow any resources from Force and Destiny. I can allow some species from Edge of the Empire. If you are interested in a Jedi focused campaign please message me and if there is enough interest I will spin up another game.

What Avner brings to the table
I am very much a story driven DM and look at gaming as a collaboration between myself and the players. I want to help you tell your character's greatest story, which often means using the Rule of Cool. I like to keep combat challenging but fun and will adjust it to the group's interests. I am not a voice actor by any means but will try to do voices to keep the characters interesting and dynamic. The narrative dice system for the Star Wars RPG is one of my favorite ways to experience tabletop RPGs, but it needs the players need to be engaged in the game throughout the session. New players to the game are welcome, as are veterans. I ask that you bring your creativity, love for the Star Wars Universe, and your excitement to each session.

How Avner creates a safe table
I love to tell a collaborative story with my players, but to do so everyone at the table must be comfortable, safety tools give us the freedom to know we can tell a story together without crossing into any territory that would make us or other players uncomfortable. Before the game, we will fill out our Lines and Veils and identify any areas that the group would like to keep off limits. We will also use X,N, and O cards to identify everyone is comfortable or if we need to tread carefully or avoid a subject all together. We will go over these tools in session 0. At the beginning of every session, I will go over what we covered in the last session and see if anyone has any feedback that we can incorporate into the campaign.
