About the adventure
The great Lich rises in the east. Plague and war ravage the land. Brightlyn, the last bastion of resistance against the tides of darkness sent forth greatest heroes of the realm to strike back, armed with their mightiest magics and ancient relics. They didn't return. Neither did the mercenary companies. Or the archmages. Or the crown prince. All characters will start at level 1 and follow an individual storyline up to level 3 where the 'party' will come together for the main adventure, but all players will be able to participate in the early story as extras (these initial sessions are half price for players who are not the main focus). This helps to establish backstory and bonds between characters as the group slowly emerges, and for newer players to get used to their abilities and spells etc at the early stages of the game.

Hey! I'm Lee - a long term gamer, costumer / maker and father of two little chaos goblins. I've been playing and running rpg's and tabletop wargames for over 30 years off and on and came back to DM'ing near fulltime over the last few years to help keep friends and family sane! Creating your character
Players are welcome to create their own characters after session zero - it's a great opportunity for people to see what the group may need and sound out ideas early on! I am more than happy to support players that need assistance creating their character after or during the session. Characters can be built from any official content within the collection available on D&D Beyond, no homebrew or third party creations.
While this is an 'evil' themed campaign the objective will be to work together for a greater goal - it will allow players to explore some builds and character types that are usually not looked at though! Initial session 0 will be free for all players. Sessions will be fortnightly on Sundays. We will use Discord for communications, D&D Beyond for character management and Talespire as a VTT (if you don't have this, feel free to hold off on buying as I will soon be able to add free player seats).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All players will require ideally Talespire, if this is not possible then we can utilise maps on D&D Beyond. Full access and shared content for a campaign will be created on D&D Beyond for all players. A well setup and clear microphone would be appreciated. Webcams are welcome but not required.

How Lee Rossi creates a safe table
A free session zero will be open to all players to introduce themselves and get a feel for the group, and to freely discuss any concerns or limitations they may wish to have in place, along with private discussions if required external to the game. Any players intentionally ignoring boundaries set during the session zero will be warned once to stop, further infractions will see them removed from the group.
