We started off with a 3 part mini campaign to get to know our party's various backstories. Each person got their own time to shine and show off their character which is not something I've ever done, but I really enjoyed. The way that NPCs and locations are described really allow you to visualize them. The GM is also very knowledgeable and has helped me with tips/suggestions when I wasn't sure what to do as a newer player.
