About the adventure
In this game, you will be a pokemon trainer setting out on their pokemon adventure from the little town of Bentwood, you will meet Professor Pine, and they will be giving you your first 'pokemon league legal' pokemon! Taygon as a region is rich in people and pokemon. An abundance of dangerous battling has forced the pokemon league to intact the pokemon registration act (PRA). This has led to the pokemon league hosting the finest trainers and the fittest pokemon and reducing danger and undue stress for citizens and pokemon. Whatever path you choose to take for your adventure and your pokemon be it, trainer, contestant chef, breeder, etc you will be competing with the best of your peers. Professor Pine will also be the first to sponsor your pokemon league crew, a team that will be made up of your fellow players. But not everything is all Saturday morning cartoons, Team Luster is here to break laws, bones, and hearts in their quest to return to a system of mismatched anarchy

About me
What makes my world and stories different? I keep my sessions focused on fun first and foremost, internal consistency second and I think rules were meant to be bent, if not broken. This is why I have created a fully fleshed-out setting of my own design, with fun and unique twists to keep even the most seasoned player on their toes while leveling the playing field for people who have never even sat down to play before because you should throw most preconceived notions about races and such out the window. I tend to take the content that has been put out and tweak it to make it... just better (*cough* Hadozee *cough*) and add it to my sprawling homebrew Setting Kreya! I have been playing and running DnD for over ten years (4e and then 5e). My biggest drive to create stories, characters, and worlds is because so much media has dull, uninspired, and often offensive parts. I aim to create something fun and quirky but epic in scale and inclusivity! I'm Proficient in not JUST DnD, but also, star finder, StarWars RPG, Vampire the Masquerade, and yes even pokemon tabletop united. Not to mention, I am always on the lookout for new fun game systems to learn, play, and add to my repertoire. I am Anti-Racism, Anti-homophobia, and Anti-ablism, none of these things will be tolerated at my table, I go out of my way to remove these things from the content, and I will not allow anyone to add them back in. In session zero, my players fill out a form that will have them tell me both about the things that will make them uncomfortable so I can avoid triggers like the plague, and about the things that they really want out of a game. I work best when I have very open communication with my players so I can tailor the game to their wants, needs, and desires while telling a fantastic story. I want to make my player's wildest dreams come true, and I would move the sun and moon for them (Lupaviccio and Galune respectively in Kreya) Oh, and did I mention, Characters under level 5 can't Perma-Die? ;)

Creating your character
Characters will be made together in session zero, where you will also be meeting your first pokemon ally (More options than just your typical starters, BTW). Professor pine will also be giving you a Pokedex, some pokeballs, and a few general adventuring tools. Then you will be brought together with your crew and registered as sponsees of Pine in the pokemon league
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Mic required webcam not required. Characters will be made in session zero. You do not need to know the rules ahead of time, but if you aren't familiar with the rules of pokemon tabletop united, I wouldn't suggest trying to figure them out on your own, I'm here to help and am more than happy to! What I would really like for you to do to prepare is to remember your most fond memories of pokemon. If it was a particular game, try to play it, if you can't, watch someone else online. The anime? Watch your favorite season. Even just looking up some fan art of your number one pokemon! All of these things would go a long way to setting the stage for the game were about to play. While not required, you should tell me about your inspirations, and I'm requesting a list of your favorite pokemon in order of preference. (List should not be longer than 20 pokemon)
What Mattie brings to the table
I will be bringing a level of understanding of this confusing rules system. While I fairly believe PTU is the superior pokemon RPG, it is not made by a company, but rather by a community of committed fans, this means that some of your favorite aspects can and will be present! I am also bringing to the table the ability of me and my assistant to fill the numerous piles of paperwork this specific system requires.

How Mattie creates a safe table
We will start with session zero, where we will go over all of the above safety tools, and players will have the chance to fill out a Google form so they can give as much or as little information about their boundaries and expectations, this form will also help collect any extra information the player would like to add about what they want for their character. We will also use session zero to help create characters and help out new players learn the rules. The most important thing to me is that this is a fun pokemon adventure! I want you to get the pokemon you want and I want you to form real, meaningful bonds with them, and test those bonds against interesting and varied leaders, Luster grunts, and wild pokemon, and then maybe solve a mystery and meet a legendary!
