About the adventure
Step into the Planescape setting with a DM who co-managed Planewalker for 15 years! With the new Planescape set coming later this year I am getting into the mood by offering this campaign set in Sigil, the City of Doors. In the aftermath of the Faction War the 16 Factions were booted from the the City of Doors, and guilds rose to fill the power vacuum. Among these was the Planewalkers Guild, a richly varied group of explorers, madmen, and crosstraders. Come, join the guild and explore the corpses of dead gods on the Astral, commune with spirits on the ethereal, buy cheese in Bytopia, and perhaps even venture into the edges of the eternal Blood War! So hurry, cutter, Balthasar Thames has a mission for you.. This will be an urban and planar sandbox adventure

About me
Hi, I'm Loki, and I run a very inclusive - beginner friendly and LGBTQIA friendly - table. I fell in love with gaming during a protracted stay in Children's Hospital of New Orleans in 1979 and have been rolling dice and sitting in the DM's chair ever since. I'm a massive Planescape fan, and spent 15 years as co-manager of Planewalker. I've also had my work published in over 40 game products since 2012 as a game designer. I prefer ongoing campaigns and epic storylines, but can easily arrange single evening one-shots by request. My home game has been running since 1979 and won Campaign of the Year in 2011 on Obsidian Portal. If you have a type of game you want, let me know! I'd love to help you make that game come to life! I also really enjoy teaching people to play, and can schedule intro sessions for those just learning to play. New players are not just the lifeblood of the hobby, but also often bring a fresh perspective to the table as well.

Creating your character
Characters will be either created during Session 0 or chosen from pregens.I allow a lot of latitude and creativity so don't fail to approach me with a concept you want to try out. 3PP Content allowed on a case by case basis.
Weekly game, played over Zoom Tiefling Fighter, Human Barbarian, Ratfolk Witch, Human Cleric, Human Slayer I encourage creativity and outlandish ideas, feel free to approach me with any character concept or plot ideas.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Sotware/ Accounts Required: Players will need a Discord account, an Obsidian Portal account (the free one is fine), and an email address where they can receive Zoom invites. Hardware Required: A good webcam and mic. Web browser for viewing the occasional battle map and referring to handouts on Obsidian Portal. Dice: I'm old school and have my lucky dice, and I know many others do as well. I encourage you to use what works best for you. If it's dice on the table, which is what I will be using, or an online roller is up to you.

How Dungeon Master Loki creates a safe table
The lines and veils for this game will be decided by the group during our Session 0. There will be a five minute bio break in the middle of each four hour session. Character sheets and campaign info will be kept on Obsidian Portal, players only need a free account. A private Discord channel on my server will be created for each campaign to allow brainstorming etc. between sessions. Play will be primarily Theater of the Mind with the occasional battle map on Owlbear Rodeo (No account needed)
