About the adventure

The seas are poisoned. The skies tremble. Across the realm, vast bodies of water churn with a sinister ink—thick, black, and unmistakably Kraken-born. Once vibrant coastlines now writhe with unnatural storms and quakes, as if the very balance of nature is unraveling. In the heart of this chaos, a dark name echoes across the land and sea: Vrogmal the Blightsmith. None know Vrogmal’s full purpose, but at every site of devastation, their twisted mark is found—a calling card of corruption and malice. Whispers speak of ancient magic, of forces beyond comprehension, threatening to tear the world apart both above and below the waves. Heroes are needed. Warriors of the land and masters of the sea. Will you dare plunge into the abyssal depths, where Kraken's tendrils lurk, to face Vrogmal's horrors head-on? Or will you stand firm on ravaged shores, battling the ever-growing blight that creeps from the waters? Your courage and skill will decide the fate of the realm. Join the fight, confront Vrogmal the Blightsmith, and restore balance before all is consumed by the storm. Will you answer the call? A benefactors, who has allied to your cause has invited you to a Heroes Feast to offer you rare magic items to help you in your fight. These items may include powerful weapons, enchanted armor, and other mystical trinkets that will aid you in your quest. As you make your way across the air, land and sea, you'll encounter a variety of dangerous kraken cultist, treacherous terrain, and other obstacles that will test your skills and courage. But with the help of your companions and your powerful magic items, you'll be able to face these challenges. The fate of the land hangs in the balance, and it's up to you and your companions to stop this terror of the deep. __________________________________ This one shot will be primarily combat based, with a bit of role play mid combat. This is a twist on normal Kraken, with with a cult in the mix. Player will be Level 11, magic items and free Tough feat. Using 2014 DND 5e rules. If every wanted to experience some high level D&D with a up beat DM, this the game for you. Character creation will be done via DNDbeyound campaign link, ABOVEVTT for our virtual tabletop (it's completely free and easy to use) here's a brief video to see what it looks like: https://youtu.be/VTRReyO1yf0

About me

Hi, I'm Biki, your welcoming, upbeat DM who likes high-level D&D and being on camera to show you my expressions and mannerisms while playing NPCs. Experience: I've been playing D&D for the last 4 years, as both a player and a dungeon master. Before the pandemic, I co-DMed in person at a local gaming shop for groups ranging in size from 5 to 10 players. At the start of the pandemic, I started my own homebrew game on Discord/Zoom that began at level 5 and completed at level 20. I'm currently running my second campaign in the same world in person, now using a combination of digital and physical DM tools. I use a television as a play screen with a VTT via laptop and physical miniatures and tiles to add to my players' immersion.

Character creation

Creating your character

I expect character creation to happen before the game: Character Creation: D&D Beyond (sharing my own content, I'll message you the link once you join the game) _________ Sources: Legacy (includes 2014 rules) and Expanded Rules Level 11: All Races (Legacy includes 2014 rules) Ability Scores: Point Buy or Standard Array Use Prerequisites: Yes Feats, Yes Multiclass Requirements No Homebrew Content No Rick and Morty Content No Encumbrance Optional Features Class/Origin: Yes Hit Point Type: Fix Free Feats: Tough https://www.dndbeyond.com/feats/tough _________ Equipment Magic Items: 1x Very Rare Magic 1x Rare Magic Item 1x uncommon magic item Spell Scroll (3rd Level): Revivify 3x Potion of Healing (Superior) https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/5134-potion-of-healing-superior 2x Potion of Healing (Greater) https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/5133-potion-of-healing-greater Starting Equipment + None Magic Basic Equipment get what you resemble need. I'm ok with the major of the legacy high level items but a few might end the encounter insanely or slow down the game and that might be no fun for other players. Example : No "Cube of Force", No "Amulet of the Planes" No "Staff of Power", No "Rod of Security", "Instant Fortress", No "Horn of Valhalla"

Safety

How Biki creates a safe table

Combat focus with a touch of roleplay for this one-shots with No PvP. Character death can be an emotional event in Dungeons & Dragons. As we will be playing high level content versus a Titan class monster I want players to understand that this is a possibility. If your character however does pass away with no way for another player to revive you. We'll have a chat and see how best to get you back in the game. We are playing a team game, I expect players remember to work with the other players and your DM. We will have: - Breaks - Open Door anyone in the group can take a break from the game for their own safety and well-being without judgement. - Debriefing as way to reflect on the game. Identify possible issues or highlight the good parts.
