About the adventure
Hello fellow RPGers ! Through this epic collection of space-faring, action-packed adventures set in the Star Wars universe we'll be using the Genesys dice pool system as described in Fantasy Flight Games 'Star Wars / Edge of the Empire' book. You will be playing as part of a motley crew of less-than-reputable characters struggling to survive - and even perhaps get ahead ! - on the fringes of the Galactic Empire, among the dubious planetary systems of the Outer Rim. These stories take place a few years before the events pictured in the Star Wars' original trilogy (Episodes IV-VI), the Battle of Yavin and the destruction of the first Death Star (which marks the Galactic Calendar Year 0 BBY). What brought you to seek refuge (or oblivion) on the Edge of the Empire ? Are you a criminal climbing their way up the Syndicates' ladder ? A smuggler trying to escape the Empire's attention ? A discarded droid recently reprogrammed to perform less-than-legal tasks ? A ruthless bounty hunter... or even one of the last survivors of the Jedi attempting to keep a low profile after escaping Order 66 ? Only you can forge your destiny and together we'll discover how this game system can generate any players group's original and uniquely story-driven experience.

About me
I'm an old-school, french-born GM who specializes in LIVE TEXT GAMES (these days Audio is of course a normal go-to for a lot of my games, but I started as a pro-GM with Live Text and still have a thing for it). After a long hiatus doing other Life Things, I got back into TTRPGs online a few years ago and have been running professionally mostly homebrewed 5e campaigns since 2020, with a good few forays into other systems. I'm very much into immersive and epic stories, involving a lot of larger-than-life (or at least amusing and/or interesting) encounters with the denizens of the world your characters live in. I add a good mixture of action, exploring, problem-solving and interactions with intriguing situations and colorful characters to spice it all up. Creating your character
- Characters don't have 'levels' in this system, although they do learn better skills and improve as they resolve new tasks and challenges. - We will all proceed with character creation together during Session Zero, and look over a couple of different examples of character builds for this series of adventures. - If you prefer to pick from pre-generated characters that can be an option as well. - You can always discuss things with me between sessions (or previous to Session Zero) through my Discord server or by sending me a Friend Request / PM me directly at AshDrunbar#3628.
A campaign set on the Edge of the Empire to test-drive the Star Wars FFG / Genesys dice system together. Elements of Force and Destiny and Age of Rebellion are being added as we progress into the storyline ! STATUS: Group is on Session 71 / starting XP + 1085 - upon meeting up with what seems like a budding rebellion against the Empire, our crew of space desperadoes has successfully pulled the biggest Heist in the Galaxy to raise funds: robbing the famed Jewel of Yavin right from under the noses of a group of rich bidders during an auction in Cloud City, on Bespin ! They were planning to keep a low profile for a while... but the unveiling of ancient mystical secrets from the past soon forces them out of hiding.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
For this game series you will need: - a working microphone and earphones - a decent connection to the internet - a Discord account - a free Forge account to access the Foundry VTT. - deep knowledge of the Star Wars universe or its general lore is not required, but an appreciation for and passing familiarity with the storyline created by Georges Lucas is a definite plus.
