About the adventure
Inspired by Derek Landy's 'Skulduggery Pleasant' novels, this adventure mixes modern with archaic, magic with technology and detective noir with outlandish fantasy. No need to have read the books; jump on in for a series of escalating mysteries in a world where magical society is hidden from mortals, where murder and wit go hand-in-hand and where a talking skeleton is the least strange thing you'll come across. Come in to play long-term with a character you love, or pop in and out as Sanctuaries grow and crumble, universes collide and The Faceless Ones try to return; the return of humankind's ancient overlords.

Creating your character
With the Master Subscription, you'll find most all the races available! Happy to discuss homebrew content and find the right character for you sink your teeth into. Creation will be done on D&D Beyond leading up to the game. I am available to chat about both new players for character creation and experienced players wanting to try something new!

What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a webcam(optional) and microphone, as well as access to Discord. They will also need access to a separate tab for AboveVTT: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/abovevtt/ipcjcbhpofedihcloggaichibomadlei?pli=1 Characters to be created on D&D Beyond before the game. Players may role physical dice or digitally on the VTT; whichever is more satisfying!
What Jacob brings to the table
I will supply the Sourcebooks via the D&D Beyond Master Bundle. Interactive maps on AboveVTT. I also study 'The Monsters Know What They're Doing,' for nuanced and surprising combat.

How Jacob creates a safe table
Players can expect an exciting story with NPCs to interact with, mysteries to be uncovered, loot to be discovered and a great plot to unravel! This game is open to all people of all identifiers! No tolerance for bullying, racism, sexism, homophobia or bigotry of any kind. Games contain, at times, graphic violence and swearing, however open discussions can curtail these if necessary for the health of players! No sexual violence of any kind.
