From the onset, Nate crafted an incredibly immersive experience for the party and myself. From incredible voice work to an amazing use of maps and soundscapes we were in for a fabulous ride! We even made it out alive where realistically a lot of us thought we were goners. We were all drawn into the drama and that's when you know you've struck magic at a table! You should absolutely consider signing up for one of Nate's games or commissioning him to be your DM, you won't be disappointed!
First things first, I wish I could tick more than three tags to describe Andre and the experience that I had with him and my fellow players at the table for Yamato's Demons, because this was a case where the DM and the game fit all the above! Andre as a DM is very creative, respectful and thoughtful, as well as clearly did his research when it came to the presentation of story steeped in Japanese folklore and older religious beliefs of the time period. Beyond that, he did his best to tie the players and their characters together, to tie the backstories to what was going on in a one-shot, which was truly a treat! It made me feel more immersed in a clearly cared for setting and allowed for my character (and the others I'm sure) to feel grounded instead of cookie cutter placed into a static story. Andre even pivoted off of my improv and knowledge of folklore. Truthfully it's made me crave more adventures in Andre's setting with my Paladin just AH! It all came together for a wonderful time! If you have the time to sign up for a D&D game, be it a campaign or a one-shot, do yourself a favor and sign up for one of Andre's game! You won't regret it!
Diego is an absolutely wonderful DM who writes his own adventures and I respect that a ton as it allows for fresh journeys through worlds fantastical and wondrous. Good stuff! Also I will never forget using a twinned Enlarge spell on a frozen yeti and a icicle to pincer an enemy, always wanted to try something like that! Thanks, Diego!
