Finding a great gaming table is like finding a legendary magic item; it changes the entire game. I have had Animancy as a player in my D&D game for over a year, and recently got the time to join him as a player and got exactly what I expected, a knowledgeable and fun DM who ensures everyone at the table is having a good time. As a player I enjoy tactical combat, that allows the use of terrain features to allow us [players] to try various things. What I detest about tactical combat is it quickly becomes a slog-fest. Animancy crafts encounters that are engaging and quick. With simple riddles that we don't have to spend an excessive amount of time on when few are interested and we just want to get back to exploring and combat. Above all, Animancy excels at player agency. He doesn't tell a story, but facilitates OURS. Chris is a well prepared and fun DM. He's always ensured the first rule of games - that its fun - is indeed the first rule. Games are well prepared, with a good mix of RP, combat, and puzzles. He also does what he can to support creators (Authors and Artists), allowing him to have adventures, images and maps ready at his table. As a veteran Player and DM, I've found even discussions about D&D informative. What are you waiting for? Come out and Play!
