My review is from the perspective of a fellow GM here on StartPlaying. Hex is great at what he does. The voice, accents, and character work are all top notch. It's an admirable talent and one that I try to emulate with varying degrees of success. That is to say, it's not an easy thing to do from the perspective of a GM and he makes it effortless. I certainly appreciate the effort in that regard. Hex is funny and easy to talk to. We play Pulp Cthulhu, which is a system that, in my experience as a player, seems difficult to pace to player expectations. Hex's games are paced to player activity. If the group is in research mode, he's got details for them. If the players are more active, he adapts to the shift in pacing. The bottom line is this: All the players are having a good time, and that's what you want from a game.

I had the chance to play with Pedro in a Legend of the Five Rings game. He's a well-prepared, thoughtful GM who takes his players needs and experience levels into account and crafts a game built to captivate. His use of mapping, thought out npcs, music, and engagement are a big plus, and anyone thinking of trying one of his games would do themselves a favor by signing up. Pedro has a lot of the qualities you want in a good GM, and delivers on the promise of a good time. I have 30+ years of gaming experience and Pedro is a keeper amongst those I've played with.
