About me

Once upon a time, I was brought to a magical land of adventure and fun through a video game I knew as Skylanders. While considered vastly imperfect by today's standards, I learned that a character represented by a small figure could have personality and life beyond that. That, if placed onto the right pedestal, a special light brings them to life and sucks me into their world right along with them. While I am not a game developer, artist, or million-dollar company, I am a writer, creative thinker, and hard-working guy. I want to share the joy from the experience I get every time I am brought to a new world. Whether it be the Skylands or Holeworld, my goal is to bring creative storytelling to life. Hi, I'm Jake. My primary system is D&D 5e, since I have been playing it since middle school. I love watching actual play shows like Critical Role and Dimension 20, so much of my inspiration comes from things like that. As far as actual DM and player experience goes, I have taken part in many campaigns at many different tables over the years. I have also put a lot of work into handcrafting many of my own stories and campaign settings, my largest being a fantasy world which multiple campaigns have been run inside.

This GM is seriously awesome! Excellent communication and fairness and far deserving of praise! They take criticism very well and are open to help players young and old with ideas. 10/10! Will play at his table more often! Also, the table culture is immaculate. Having a true "group" feeling is tough online, but it's really cool.

I've been playing 5e for about 11 years, and it's simply fine. For most of us in the community, it was probably our first system, and it's the most familiar. That being said, 5e is great because of how much it has something for everybody! Whether you want to power game & make broken builds or do a chill role-playing focused story, D&D is OK at all of it!

Every DM has a different take on Barovia, and it's awesome! There is so much love for this module and so many resources to help all DMs and groups have fun prepping and playing! If you like horror, or even genre-mashing, play this module!

Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos

I'm currently a DM running this module, and I love it! It has a ton of player options, creative NPCs, and a stellar setting! Use with caution! ⚠️ Not for all GMs! It is very much not a module meant for a singular main story, but rather closer to a series of smaller adventures that can be strung together for a full campaign.

Such a fun setting! I've played this one part of the way through, and I love how rich this module makes the experience for a player! Out of all the modules, this is probably one of the best for creative DMs!
