My original review, after having only completed a session 0, is below. I am editing it to include additional info I didn't have back then. I've been playing in a campaign with Eryn as DM for almost 2 years now (at the time of writing, 2025), and to simply call her an expert in the field, I feel, would be an understatement. I've been doing this for a long time, and with over 20 years of experience under my belt as both a player and a Dungeon Master, I must have met hundreds, maybe even thousands of people in the D&D hobby space. Of them all, Eryn takes the cake. She approaches her games with the enthusiasm and respect that any aspiring player hopes their DM would have and then some. She elevates the material of whatever pre-written campaign she is running to make it feel personal and important to the people at the table. She takes your aspirations as a player for your character and weaves them into the narrative of the plot. And somehow, she does all of this for everyone else at the table too, simultaneously. Besides her unrivaled skill in the DM chair, Eryn also goes above and beyond to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone at her table. While it is impossible to navigate the TTRPG hobby space without encountering bad actors who want to use the roleplaying medium as a way to enact their twisted ideologies and fantasies, you can at least trust wholeheartedly that Eryn will staunchly protect everyone at her table from people like that should they happen to sneak into your game with her. You likely won't even have to point out that there is an issue; with her keen insight into her players' personalities and empathy for what they are going through, she'll have picked up on it before you even have to say anything. I joined her game on a whim when she put out a request in the Startplaying Discord for a fellow game master to sit in on a game with only one other registered player to help her get it off the ground, and I've been hooked on playing that game ever since. I feel spoiled that happenstance should let me have that opportunity, because it truly has become the thing I most look forward to every week. If Eryn has an opening in one of her games and you are on the fence about joining it, think no further. Jump on in, you won't regret it. Original review follows: =============== Eryn provided us with a fantastic first session and I am looking forward to playing more with her at the helm. She goes out of her way to create a safe space to play, encourages player creativity, and makes good use of the tools at her disposal for running a fun session. We also finished our session 0 with time to spare and she was more than willing to use the extra time to start the campaign, which was a pleasant surprise. 10/10 would play with again.
