I have only recently started to find games to play using the virtual platform that is StartPlaying, and despite that, I have been blessed on two occasions now to be paired with such knowledgeable and thorough DMs such as Jonathan was during our time together. Not only was he attentive and responsive through the whole process of storytelling and roleplaying in his creative way, but he was also understanding of those who may still be learning a new system. During our short time with Star Wars RPG, it was clear that it was my first time using a new system. But it did not stop Jonathan from helping me, and delivering a real authentic experience, along with virtual table top programs, music, pictures, and rich lore to sink your teeth into. It was a shame that I was unable to personally see the whole campaign through. But even with my need to depart from such, he was perfectly understanding, and I really appreciated that. He really knows his stuff and it showed every step of the way!

As someone with mainly at the table face-to-face gaming experience, and mostly with friends, the initial prospect of going to search online for a table top game to play with complete strangers was daunting to say the least. When I discovered StartPlaying it was my foray into a whole new platform. I took a chance, sorted the dms by ratings/prices/systems, and chose DeAngelo based on reviews and vibes alone. These fears were assuaged the day I began my first session with DeAngelo. I was scared, but the way he carried the session was so comforting and supportive that over the course of the many sessions we later played, my comfort with the concept of virtual tabletop had grown tremendously. His gameplay and story telling style are superb. Visuals, music, and knowledge of the systems to go along. Today, I find myself prepared to tackle future games with a genuine feeling of adventure.
