I've had the pleasure of playing with Fatebinder for the last 6 months and have enjoyed every session! I joined a new campaign and as a late addition to an ongoing game, but he went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcomed and that my characters were a core part of the adventuring party in both. Playing with him as a DM isn't just a run through a published module, it's an adventure customized to the party and to ensure each player's enjoyment. The combat in his games is gritty and strategic without being overly frustrating, and he gives his players the tools to succeed with magic items and feats. From a roleplaying perspective, he takes pride in cultivating an atmosphere with maps, music and ambient sounds, and distinctive NPC voices. He's mindful of safety tools like check-ins and lines and veils and makes himself available to discuss character arcs and concept ideas. In particular, Fatebinder does an excellent job weaving homebrew mechanics into the games. If you have an idea that isn't available in published content, he's willing to work with you to find or create a customized homebrew subclass that fits your concept! Very skilled and friendly DM, and I'm excited to see what else is in store for his games!
