Mysten Noire led an exciting one-shot (including a thorough Session 0!) with patience and clarity, and interesting mechanics. Their visual setup lent itself to strong immersion, and it’s clear how much care went into customising the experience (even with my very last-minute sign-up/Session 0 turnaround). I’m so excited for others to try this one-shot and would happily play at Mysten Noire’s table again.
Ryan is a warm and welcoming GM who quickly puts his players at ease with a well-prepared plan and a receptive response to inquiries. He encourages participation with fun and gentleness, inspiring confidence in his ability to guide players through the narrative. Having played at his table for Pathfinder (2e), Masks: A New Generation, Blades in the Dark, Lancer, Slugbaster and Daggerheart, my experience is that Ryan chooses games and premises with a focus on inspiring interest and excitement. He knows when to pivot, rewards out-of-the-box thinking, and keeps the momentum of the story moving in meaningful ways. He is committed to crafting compelling narratives that facilitate the story the players want to tell within the bounds of what he has established. I hope to play at Ryan’s table again soon!
Maddie's knowledge and comfort with both the world and the module immediately draw you into the stakes she builds. She keeps the narrative moving at a steady, meaningful pace, making sure each player has a place in the story while engaging us with every immersive detail. I adore how Maddie takes events in stride, creating a space where players of any experience level can settle in and enjoy the unfolding plot. So excited to continue playing with her and see where this rollercoaster goes!
Dread establishes a haunting atmosphere that immediately immerses you in the story and setting. As a player new to the system, I found Dread great at helping me feel confident and not anxious during play (about the rules, at least—there was plenty of tension in the unfolding narrative). She turned a system I was curious about into a new favourite in a few short hours, and I would love to play at her table again.
