I have played three games GMed by Old Scratch, and all were great games! This GM rewards creativity, but maintains game integrity. Games are more story/narrative/roleplaying, not just a combat slog, though there has been combat in every game I’ve played with Old Scratch. When he has to invent stuff on the fly, it’s been creative and the right mood for the game. He’s sensitive to and accommodating of people’s boundaries and triggers and it seems to be important to him; some things that are common in games but also commonly upsetting in personal ways he categorically leaves out of his games. He’s also good at responding to what players want from the game (not just what they don’t want) but you have to get the dice rolls you need and use the game system. Also you might die, he’s not heavy handed but he feels the games are more compelling if success and survival are not assured! All around a very fun and fair GM, I will play with him again
