I’ve been playing under Chris for about three months, roughly twelve weekly sessions, in an official module campaign that has been slightly modified based on the Sword Coast, specifically the Phandalin area. Overall, my experience has been fun and engaging, and it’s very evident that Chris spends a great deal of time preparing for each session. One of Chris’s strengths is storytelling. There’s a clear sense that the story is developing and that suspense is building toward a major event. The NPCs feel consistent and alive, and they develop meaningful relationships as the campaign progresses. Something I believe would make sessions even more engaging would be finding ways to encourage the quieter players to participate more actively. I’ve spoken with Chris out of game a couple of times about rulings or how certain mechanics work, and he is always willing to consider requests and make decisions that work best for the campaign. He is also great at communicating with everyone about plans and scheduling, we’ve only had one cancellation in the last three months. Overall, Chris has built a fantastic campaign that balances structure and creativity. I look forward to every Sunday evening as the story continues to unfold.
