About me
Whoa, how did I end up here? Cheers, I'm Solly! I am kinda new here. I've mostly been an avid watcher/listener of Dimension20 campaigns, and I thought it seemed like a whole lot of fun. I am all for character mingling, shenanigans, and dynamics. I am more of a writer, a wordy one at that, but I feel like my English if spoken is a little lacking. I'd love to use DnD to challenge myself with on-the-spot roleplaying, even if my brain has to do double-time translating. I'm building confidence over here. Just know, I am incredibly disgruntled about AI-generated anything. Don't even start.

My "Learn DnD" session with Facundo as our DM was an absolute blast. He is very open-minded, fun and patient. Even in the middle of player tomfoolery, he still manages to guide us back to the mission at hand. I had technical issues with Fantasy Grounds, but it didn't prevent me from playing at all. Rolling dice on Discord and watching the board through a stream didn't interfere with the experience I had at all, as the storytelling was on point and any questions were answered without judgement or delay. As our party started out and immediately put the question forward whether we are allowed to burn the village down we just arrived in, he was welcoming player shenanigans without sacrificing sense or plausibility. He radiates a "You can, if you want to" attitude without dismissing the consequences. His NPCs and the way he plays them with little gestures and quirks, are quite memorable. I felt he made it clear that our character's behaviours affect how the NPCs think of this band of newbie adventurers. There is a bit of a lack of background ambience throughout the adventure, though music when used fit to the scene at hand. He's very apologetic when he's missing words or when he takes a moment to navigate a scene, which is understandable but unnecessary. That's just bilingual struggles. (Felt.) He is a great DM in my eyes, and I am certain with time and confidence he'll only improve!
As a first time player of a "Werewolf: the Apocalypse 5e" game spanning multiple sessions with fellow newbies to the World of Darkness, Domi offered boundless understanding and support. They explained the rules well and answered any reoccuring questions without judgement or annoyance, no matter how many sessions we were into the game already. Story beats and NPCs were consistent, throughout the story which were memorable even weeks later. The way Domi plays the characters makes them easy to adore, with their personalities and quirks, and the atmosphere (setting mood, visual descriptions, ambient music) always fit to the scene unfolding. There were moments of mystery, of horror and dread, but also something homely for the PCs to regroup before surging into action again. Generally, it was a nice mix of action, urgency and beathers inbetween, and the pacing never stagnated the game or make it feel rushed. We had a few hickups rules-wise where things slipped between the margins of storytelling (like transforming and attacking in the same round without penalty), though it never disrupted the game too much and was smoothed over with compromises for balance. Domi is generally very generous with player actions and let us try things out just to see what happens, but kept it in the realms of plausibility. The world felt lived in wherever out characters went, and made us think about consequences. Domi is a DM you'd want if it's all about the story, player agency, atmosphere, and character connections.
