About Dominik
Hello, I'm Dominik (or Domi for short.) I've been into TTRPGs for over a decade now. Starting with DnD and later getting absorbed into World Of Darkness. I am queer and neurodivergent (ADHD) myself, so my table has always had a focus on being a welcoming safe space! If you're looking for a story rich game, with a bit of combat drizzled in, I'm your GM! ____ All listing thumbnails are artwork drawn by me, or photograph collages edited by me, unless stated otherwise.

I got started GMing...
I got into GMing when I brought up the possibility of running DnD one-shots at a local camping convention. There was already one GM but the demand was high and I offered to try out being a GM for the first time.
The three words my players would use to describe me are...
Creative, nerdy, and "you rat..you creature (affectionately)!"
When I'm not running games I'm...
Playing video games or TTRPG games as a player too! Or making up fictional worlds in my head.. I should have become a game master much earlier than I did!
How Dominik runs games
The games I run are primarily focused upon roleplay and story! With various NPCs that are interlinked to others and the player characters. I do still however like to also add unique combat scenes and fun mysteries to solve. Some key notes for what I excel at: - An inclusive table with safety tools - Helping new players get introduced to various TTRPGs - Games focused on storytelling, NPCs and mystery - Soundscapes with ambiance and music that sets the tone - Rules As Written, but willing to stretch them for the fun of the players!

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
... some queer niche director that had a vision, but Netflix cancelled the show even though everyone praised it.
I prep by
.. spending at least an hour before session getting all the mechanical things in order, and looking at my list of what players would like in the game.
Rules are...
... there for a reason! But sometimes I allow slight stretching of them if it's fun for both me as a GM and the players!
Dominik's ideal table
My games are primarily roleplay focus, with a hint of combat and mystery. Sometimes things are solved by combat and sometimes no violence is needed as things can be resolved socially. So a healthy mix of different player characters, with different focuses are nice! I also greatly enjoy it when the players take initiative to chat to eachother in character. Not a must by any means, as some newer players might not be used to that, but it's fun to see!

I love it when a player
I love it when a player shows interest in the setting and is cool with ways to tie their character to existing NPCs or come up with ways they could fit their character into the story. It creates a more seamless story that benefits both player and GM!
I think min/maxing...
..not something I personally enjoy. I'm not opposed to players creating a strong character but since I'm a very story and character development focused Gamemaster, min maxers might not enjoy my games.
My table is not the place for...
... bigotry, hate, antagonistic players and lone wolves who doesn't want to be with the party. TTRPGs are a group activity, so cooperation and a good vibe is key!
