Evan is flat-out cool. They are a joy to chat with outside play, and then once you're in-game, they are extremely knowledgeable and attentive. Evan keeps the room engaged, safe, and immersive, all while finding time to honor your character choices (as wild as they may be). I am so grateful to be one of their players and to have learned as much as I have. They have found an excellent way to balance RP, combat, and above table chats/questions with our group, all while keeping storytelling on track. The world Evan has built for our campaign is comprehensive and detailed but still leaves plenty of room for exploration. Maybe I just got lucky that my fellow players are wonderful too, but, I'd bet it helps that we all feel comfortable being ourselves at the table Evan's created.

I cannot recommend the welcoming environment of Mark's table enough! As a new player (<6mo.), it was such a reassurance to have a DM who knew the world so thoroughly. Because Mark deeply understands the game, I felt safer to make bold choices, ask questions, and find my way. He was incredibly responsive and actively took suggestions and ideas from players as to what they wanted their experience to look like. Truly, even if you have even the smallest idea, he knows how and where to take it! But I appreciate that even when I took big swings, he made me feel supported and made storytelling the priority. Had I not had to leave due to scheduling issues, I'm sure I would have learned a tremendous amount not only about game mechanics but also my own style as a player. He's patient, kind, and has a great sense of humor- and I'm positive that if you're a more seasoned player you'll find Mark to be a formidable DM!
