Kat is a fantastic DM—truly one of the best I’ve played with. I’ve done many sessions at her table, including a roleplay-heavy campaign and a drop-in one-shot series that leaned much more into combat, and she excels in both. She’s always thinking several steps ahead, creating engaging encounters and memorable NPCs that really bring the world to life. Her players are fantastic, which I think is a direct reflection of the kind of table she runs—welcoming, collaborative, and fun. When I first joined, everyone was incredibly helpful and made it easy to jump right in. I would happily choose to play at her table in any game she runs.

I’ve played with this DM across both a full campaign and several one-shots, and he’s been consistently fantastic. He comes to sessions well-prepared and organized, while still staying flexible and responsive to the players. He runs a fair table and strikes an impressive balance between following the rules as written and allowing his players to shine in creative ways. He really encourages everyone to bring their best, and it’s clear he puts a lot of thought into his games. I always look forward to playing at his table.

Drew is an absolutely fantastic DM. He’s kind, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone at the table has a great time. He’s also remarkably skilled at managing multiple characters, enemies, and all the little minutiae of a session without ever slowing the game down. What I appreciate most is that he never judges or gets annoyed if you make small mistakes with your character or forget a rule — he simply helps you through it so you can stay immersed and enjoy the game. His whole approach is supportive, collaborative, and encouraging. And honestly, you can tell a lot about a DM by the players who keep coming back to their tables. The regulars in Drew’s games are some of the most welcoming people I’ve ever played with. As a newer player to both D&D and Start Playing Games, it’s been truly refreshing to join a group that is open-minded, inclusive, and genuinely caring. That atmosphere doesn’t happen by accident — it’s a reflection of the DM who leads them. If you’re looking for a game that is fun, friendly, low-stress, and full of great people, Drew is absolutely the DM you want. I’m already looking forward to the next session.
