About Kat
Hello! I’m Kat! I run D&D 5e and Ten Candles. My focus is primarily on narrative, storytelling, and character development. I go all in on the RP aspect of table top with mood lighting, exciting visuals, mood music, character voices, and improvisation. Let’s tell a thrilling tale together! I am currently running a Drop-In Style Campaign (listed as one-shots here on SPG) where players (you!) are members of the Galesworn Guild, an adventuring collective of explorers and warriors who swear by the winds to guide them to fortune and fame. With a new one shot adventure each week, adventurers can enjoy them as often or sparingly as they like as this anthology of stories accommodates drop ins. To find listings for this campaign, please visit my profile page. Games take place every Friday at 7:30PM EDT. Please feel free to message me with any questions!

My favorite books are
Frankenstein, Terry Pratcett’s Discworld series, and old Greek mythology epics (I live for fantasy, science fiction, and gothic literature).
When I'm not running games I'm...
Prepping for the next game (let’s be honest). Or I’m deep into a novel or at the range with my recurve bow doing some archery.
How Kat runs games
My favourite part of the ttrpg experience is being able to collaborate with imaginative folks to create an exciting, interesting, unforgettable story. I believe everyone has something special to bring to the table and to the tale we are weaving together. That doesn’t mean I don’t live for some crunchy combat and battle tactics! A good fight can really spice up a story! As a GM I bring descriptive settings and visuals, unique character voices and personalities, interesting plot choices for the players, and heaps of enthusiasm! I love to collaborate with everyone at my table so that each player leaves the game feeling that they have uniquely influenced the narrative in a way no one else can.

I once ran a session...
At 1AM for a group of level 20 characters. Everyone (including me) had only 15 minutes to prep. It was chaotic in the best way.
Rules are...
important but if a rule is preventing players from having fun at the table then it’s not a rule worth holding on to.
Kat's ideal table
Collaborative storytelling is my favourite part of any ttrpg table and good collaboration is being able to play off each other and the surroundings so that everyone contributes to the creation of exciting, funny, heroic, or off the wall unforgettable moments.
