Ryan Gillen

I have been playing in Alex's games for 11 years now and recently have started paying him for games. He is an excellent GM, one of the best I've ever known, and there are too many strong points to list. Though here are some ones that are notable. Excellent Worldbuilding - His worlds are well thought out and have many little secrets that one can explore and discover Player Driven Story - He will create an overarching story, but never do you ever feel like you are on a railroad. Especially because he will put many different threads to follow, and let players decide which thread they want to pull Fun NPCs - Alex makes great NPCs, often quirky and weird in a believable way. They will make you laugh and be memorable. Knows the rules but is flexible - Whatever system Alex is running he will know the rules well, but never does he let himself be constrained by them. He will homebrew or allow rule of cool moments; whatever helps the story and lets the players have fun.
