Attended one session of Daggerheart. It was a learn to play session with premade characters and an official intro game story. What set it apart from multiple others of the same was Matthew's wilingness to add rule of cool elements that created a more living environment e.g. Mage was able to create magical booties to protect their bare feet on a dirty tavern floor (no spell exists to do this). Matthew additionally made sure the players could describe how they finished enemies and actively participate in creating the world around them.
Rich leaned into the improbable and whimsical for our Hogswatch eve game of discworld. I was delighted to get to play a minor deity filling in for the Hogsfather. Rich played most of the NPCs with different voices, provided hints when we were lost as to where to go next, and overall gave us opportunity to be as silly and creative as desired. Shep the Sheep Shepherd, deity of sheep counted before bedtime approves.
Saw that Jack didn't have the 5 reviews needed yet to be for the search function to work. Which is a shame as Jack is amazing. I participated in a 2 person one shot for avatar the last airbender rpg. Jack used improvised voices for each character and was able to maintain them throughout the session. We were allowed to create our own characters and they answered any questions we had about the game. Jack had Q&A session after and debrief. One avatar and 4 elements out of one avatar and 4 elements.
Absolutely amazing time. Made use of multiple strategies for safety tools. Krystal did a great job ensuring everyone had a spotlight and was able to do something cool. Krystal provided a lot of information about the setting that allowed me to develop a back story that could be introduced throughout the story without any difficulty.
Dicelord was an awesome GM. Made sure before the game to have an opportunity to set ground rules of what we did and did not to see in the campaign. Allowed players to dig into their characters and interjected only to move the story along. Pacing was maintained well. Concept behind the story was cool.
